That last video made me laugh. I heard the accent of the people and I immediately recognized they talk like myself, haha.

There are many thousands small places like that all over Spain, they look poor and in ruins, but a handful of families live there and live well enough by their own means. Usually people live long and healthy lives, and they easily make it to 100. That's because there are no doctors in such small places.

It's not genetics, but constancy what keeps them alive and clear minded.

Those are peaceful lands: there is nothing there to steal, and no roads and no strategic choke point or anything. Very few mines, few trees, little water. Soil and air, space and lots of sunlight, and the reverent silence of harmless, little lizards. Money is but a curiosity, unrelated to anything real.

edit: sorry, it wasn't the last video, but the second, the one from Euromaxx.

I loved the first one--how everyone didn't just go along with the Grandma--but all began to truly celebrate the beauty of the community moment. It was sweet. And I loved the fact that the farmers in Sodeto were the big winner. Viva La Farmers. We need to take care of them as they take care of us.
