I’m not good with words, but this brought tears to my eyes, made me *feel*. Thank you, Celia.

I love this.

We holidayed in Spain when I was a child; it was cheaper than staying in the UK. I was fascinated with flamenco dresses and had a treasured doll for years.

The week of 9/11 I was in Andalucia walking round the 'hidden' villages. Stunningly beautiful. Smell of wild herbs. A properly ripe soggy tomato on a simple baguette, still the most delicious thing I've ever tasted.

More recently a weekend in Seville, narrow streets and archways, old wooden doors, and watching the locals dressing up properly in traditional garb for weddings.

You are right. They want us focused on all this dehumanising, homogenising nonsense.

Let's not be.

Jo
