Holy moly! Stay safe Celia.

California-born and raised.

Watched the streets undulate like waves in SF in the late 1970s with 'minor' quakes.

Moved to Australia and noticed when apartment hunting, certain criteria were still on my list for earthquake safety - don't live in the lowlands, especially mudflats or landfill suburbs as they shake the worst. Up in the hills, they weren't near as violent - as long as you weren't perched on the side of a freeway built on a fault-line.

Maybe it was Dutchsinse? He was tracking the Cappadocia, Turkey quake clusters after Erdogan displeased the Trumpster.

....can't have everybody find out too many days before the really big and final pole shift happens....

Hi everyone:

I picked up some really good news from Ishmael Perez in around March: The Council of Worlds (or something similar) decided that humanity has evolved enough, to make another pole shift (mega flood) unnecessary. Nibiru will be stopped, slowed down or whatever....

Let's cling to the safety of a straw, at least...., unless you live up in the Andes, like my friend, who has properties as high as 9,000 feet.....

East coaster most of my life, so the tremors experienced on the central coast of California several months ago was a disorienting, helpless kind of feeling. Seeing you and your son and family protected and safe, Celia.

I too am a veteran of So Cal shakers. the magnitude of that first quake is reported by Gemini as 3.7; the second one: ~4.9. anything above 6.0 can cause considerable damage if you are at or close to the epicenter. doorways are supposed to afford one greater protection against a structural collapse. gas leaks can be a major dilemma post-quake as well as downed power lines. animals will sometimes anticipate a quake before it actually happens.

Border breaches, fires, and now earthquakes? Seems like a message to me.

3.7 is fairly mild, another one likely an aftershock.

In CA when it was warm and then good quakes it became

Shake and bake:)

You know, it's interesting as Spain rarely (throughout history) experiences natural disasters. While Andalucia is in a fault zone, it has been since 2011, I think and then in the 19th Century before that. Almeria was hit twice in the 16th and 17th centuries, I believe. Crazy stuff for sure!

Yes, indeed, but it shows the potential. In the Pacific Northwest, specifically in the Puget Sound area, is the Cascadia Subduction Zone, where the Pacific plate is trying to slide under the North American plate. It is stuck, and has been since January 1st, 1801, when a massive quake there created a tsunami which wiped out everything on southern Vancouver Island and the surrounding area, and then traveled all the way to Japan, creating a small tsunami there. The Japanese have kept records of tsunamis for centuries, since both earthquakes and tsunamis occur frequently, and can be very destructive, as Fukishima was. When the Cascadia ruptures again, which it does about every 250 years or so, it potentially could affect coastal areas as far south as central California, if it is a full-margin rupture.
