“Cell phone cameras were not widespread so people were wary of being photographed (even on a normal day) but obviously most people were distracted and things were not "as usual". The scene at 2:42 sums up NYC to those who aren't from there - a white guy in a business suit talking to two black guys, one in street basketball jersey and an Asian guy nearby (everyone was watching T.V.'s in store windows together because cell phones didn't have screens). Scenes like this happen everyday in NYC....but especially on Sept 11th, the City was ONE. Everybody had everyone's back even though everyone seems to themselves. I saw many instances of people helping one another.”
