Great satire.

A broader version is the constantly repeated nonsense that we should attribute evil to incompetence instead of malice.

Incompetence certainly exists, but incompetence leads to random bad stuff happening at random times. When bad stuff starts on the same day in all countries, and happens in the same direction on the same schedule with the same phases and subphases and the same explanations and warnings, it's evil.
