Perry Como never sounded so good. Oh gawd, I must be getting (really) old.

Here's an even better version: Good tidings to you wherever you are, we wish you some cognac and a Cuban cigar.

Yes. The beauty of the breath and song. The grateful loving breath of the heart that heals all souls.

I love the classics sung by the great singers of the mid 20th century! Thanks for sharing.

When I was a young kid Perry Como was my favorite singer. His voice was so smooth and never so "glitsy" or with overdone operatic vibrato. And sponsored by Chevrolet. "See the USA, in your Chevrolet"

Perry Como was known to me primarily as a caricature - I am old as anybody now but when my musical ;tastes were being formed (I was maybe in first grade when the Beatles dropped acid and went from I want to hold your hand to I am the Walrus - kook-kook-achoo - but at this stage of life - the soft lounge sound of Perry Como (and his contemporaries, chanteuse and bandleaders both) - that calm sophisticated vibe looks a lot more appealing now than it used to, even as recently as ten or twenty years ago.

Thanks for sharing this.

Lovely. But also sad. I think I can safely say that this more innocent America (with all of its flaws, but also it's many gifts) is dead forever.
