for what it’s worth, i think you are badass.

i don’t know how you manage to read all the comments, especially when it means you have to take shit.

you handled it gracefully by just apologizing for whatever offence you might have caused.

it’s heroically responsible for you to go looking for it.

sounds like you quoted someone and that was the offence.

so... i’ve come full circle and it bears repeating. i think you are badass.

we need heroes.

thanks for being one.

I SECOND THAT!!!!

"We need heroes"... LOL! I am struggling to find the emojis when writing on the PC. I would have dropped a truck load.

I got a nice sticker on my guitar. Pigtailed girl saying to a boy who is flexing: "We don't need another hero."

I guess some people can't live without being told what to do... It is in their nature.

i think we benefit from positive examples. that’s what i mean by hero. a juxtaposition to the megalomaniacs telling us what to do and say and think.

True that. We are mammalians, and possess a "herd nature".

I actually was made to see humanity as a herd once. Some of us are alone on hillsides, keeping them away from sacred places. We communicate with one another over distances with song.

With issues like this, it's primarily about content, secondarily about personality. I don't care if my own sainted mother says there was a pandemic. She's WRONG.

Nobody can argue what a beautiful heart you are, your integrity and quest for truth, regardless of the cost yourself ❤️❤️❤️

Celia, you are beautiful. It is a sad reality that in this world, there are many people who suffer from ideological addiction. They jump at any opportunity to yell at anyone who insults, they think, their dear talking points. It is how this world is. Let me repeat, you are beautiful. It is great to discuss any position, and any nuance. But when you encounter a person with a religious feeling for their idea, you are best off just remembering that you are beautiful.

You are very gracious, even-handed, respectful and kind. Please let it all go. It's not worth the bandwidth. Blessings to both you and Alison. I wish sometimes that people could meet in person to avoid such misunderstandings. Take care... and let's all move on. We are on the same team after all.

I just posted this other comment on the wrong article so here it is again

Also, I don't think you owe anybody an apology for expressing your sincere views. Cancel culture is what needs to be cancelled. :) You can't please everyone, and you've done so much good that no one whole could accuse you. And other people's lack of wholeness can be viewed with compassion but you don't own anyone breaking yourself to make them happy. For real.

Hey Tessa, no you posted it on the correct thread. It’s right above and it was very well said honey.

McDowell is long for known temper tantrums and playing victim when she gets any sort of push back, as well as levelling attacks on anyone who may divert from her world view for no good reason at all, and while I am not saying she is, but quite often is the one displaying controlled opbehavior while calling everyone else controlled op. Don't lower yourself to her level

Expand full comment

My experience too.

Expand full comment

This is exactly why I stopped reading her or supporting her work. The ego is way larger than anything she actually produces. I'm not trying to be catty here, that is just how I see it. It takes a lot for me to stop reading someone whose work I respect. But she goes into attack mode over the slightest disagreement. As if she has cornered the market on reality and no one else is allowed to deviate from it.

Expand full comment

I must fully agree. Her work and research is spot on. But mid-covid she went on the war path attacking anyone and everyone in the so called alt-media for things like them using bitcoin or even calling people controlled op for booking events at certain venues. I tried ignoring it as it had nothing to do with me. Around same time she had a Telegram channel I was a member of. Due to all the bots on Telegram she posted that she was sick of it and was going to focus her time on Twitter. Merely made a comment that I thought it odd that she would devote her attention to a fully controlled platform especially considering the attacks she wages about controlled op. mmediately was banned from her channel then she posted one of her temper tantrums. Apoarently many people in the chat said similar to what I did, and she seems to completely lose it. Oh well, I lost no sleep over it.

That had been my experience in the very short time I had followed her on FB. Not worth my time to read drama screeds. I immediately unfriend anyone who does those, I don't care who they are. Drama is not interesting or of value to me.

Having watched a couple of Alison's videos, she reminds me of Judy Mikovits -- brilliant with an almost OCD analytic mind, but unfortunately emotionally prickly & stubborn. We don't need "heroes", we need just-the-facts-ma'am analysts who focus on content & communication and have a sense of self-awareness (which includes awareness of one's weaknesses).

Expand full comment

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I'm thinking that's what always bugged me about Mikovits but couldnt place it. But yea, if you are gonna put yourself out there, you have to expect people will disagree with you, there will be trolls, and depending on how good one is, there will be coordinated attacks. And if one cares more about their fragile ego than the work, than the message will never get to those who truly need to hear it. A self generated echo chamber of nothing but sycophants will never solve a single problem.

I support and very much appreciate your work and can see your beautiful spirit through your words I used to be FB friends with Allison and was taken aback by the many people she disparaged at the time it was Whitney Webb, she unfriended me I believe based on my posting a David Martin speech her and her group were disparaging him and actually I found it quite a relief to not have to wonder if my posts were acceptable to her. I am very thankful for the research she has done and all she shares but I honestly can’t listen to her talks anymore because of all the negativity I’ve seen coming from her and her followers.

😖 Whitney Webb is an amazing, astute researcher. One heck of a reporter! 👏❤

she's really harsh. i unfollowed her also from FB.

Same. Her attacks on David Martin, who is doing more than she ever will (filing lawsuits, etc) says a lot.

Expand full comment

There's something off about David Martin. In addition, he suffers from a common character flaw in the movement -- unable to communicate clearly and unable to avoid rabbit hole mapping every time he articulates something at length.

He's been helpful. He is also one of the establishment people, but he helps us understand what they are up to and how they do things. Much like Catherine Austin Fitts. People who have been on the inside, IMHO, are invaluable.

Whitney Webb is also super stressed out she’s entangled in the Mike Webb Pandora papers situation too .. so she’s under tremendous pressure

Can you give me a short overview of what that particular situation is? I hadn't heard of it. No problem if you don't want to.

Mike Gill. According to the DEA NH is #1 for opioids. Pandora Papers = largest money-laundering network in the world, $932B in NH. Manufactures most guns in USA. He has been on many different video platforms recently, talking about his investigation over the past 16 years. twitter @MikeGil21446788 Here's one of the earliest videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-BBQ9gHoFQ

I started watching a Mike Gill video on Rumble (his latest). The first couple of minutes has unnecessary graphics and dramatic music. Then there's some narrator making a string of grandiose claims, none of them verified. Then some guy comes on grifting about gold and silver. I ain't got time for this.

The video I provided is a better introduction to Mike Gill.

That doesn't really answer my question... but thanks, I guess.

Do some research he has lots of verified evidence-based claims they tried to buy his silence with $50 million and he said no go. I believe him 100% no matter what other people say here…. I don’t want to get into a harangue on Celia’s thread.

I'm not following Whitney, don't know her issues about him. His investigation is worth knowing about, so you'll understand why there are some people trying to get her attention about him.

There are many "born again" folks coming to this as a big surprise. Born agains get real insistent on sharing their new found facts. Just how it is these days, everyone wants to be in the movies, you know? She's stuck in a lot of places she knows nothing of.

But that's true for everyone. This could have been responded to quite summarily. It takes two to tango.

I think Alison is tangled up here. I Early in the pandemic she warned about not trusting the Barrington Declaration because the leaders were from institutions tied to impact capitalism. Yet she herself declined to form allegiances based on the vaccine. I found her openness about her choices and instincts thought provoking. I hope that she takes to to reflect on where she might have made errors. No doubt there are instigators trying to stir up discontent. I encountered a fake persona (with even fake academic credentials and a substack) trying to instigate a war between Alison and Whitney Webb. It was scary when she emailed me directly. Be careful out there, kids.

Expand full comment

LOL!

Agents of chaos.

We have to be aware of this and counter effectively.

I supported the Great Barrington declaration (Great Barrington is the name of the town were the "declaration" was published) at the time. I still believed there was a virus but there was a very harmful overreaction that had to stop. No vaccine needed, human rights come first. That was a little before the 2020 election.

I've been following Jeff Tucker for years. I agree with him on many issues, and disagree on other issues. He still believes in the lab leak theory, like so many other libertarians (I think he does not use that label now, but he was VP of the Mises Institute and did a great job, and although he left that his ideas are very similar in many cases; remember, libertarians are like always infighting and splitting, it comes with the territory.)

Some libertarians have always called the pandemic a hoax, even the virus, from the beginnig. In a few libertarian sites there is talk against the entire idea of germ theory being a huge scientific fraud, which is a novelty in the libertarians micro-world, because most of them are germaphobes and love cleanliness.

The idea that microbes are accused of causing disease to cover the real cause, which are for the most part enviromental toxins (in the food, water, medicine, etc.) is very appealing to libertarians because fraud is a great injustice. Libertarians are always speaking about the fraudulent behavior of the FDA, EPA, Public Education, privacy and so on.

But libertarians are a small group. Noisy, but small. And without power. They are getting some power now, locally. They insist on decentralization. This overlaps with other people and groups that also seek a devolution of power to the People, but disagree on most issues with libertarians.

No problem, anarcho-coalitionism is a real thing!

Libertarians may be paradoxical and insane and wild and ideological and obsessive with abstract concepts and logic, but they are extremely sincere about what they want. Political Freedom is never a grace that the powerful concede to us. It has to be gained and maintained, and there are many places to attack the authoritarians to get freedom back.

Is Alison a coalitionist who wants to earn her freedom back for her and everyone else, or is she one of those persons who insist that their way is the only valid way and everyone else is wrong and evil?
