On the third video from the top, Linköpings domkyrka 2003, I wonder if I falsely accused them of using (gasp) YELLOW candles. But are they? It could be a trick of the light. I honestly can't imagine it. The whole choir would have to be under a minor possession to do such a thing.

I have never seen these traditions before.... and the predator class think we should all want to be limited to one culture globally?

What utterly unimaginative, stupid people they must be.

Thanks, Celia. You never cease to cast light on my life.

Your appreciation always reaches me, Frances. Thank you. I wonder sometimes if I'm on the right track. I think I am, and we are. I too dread more than anything the predator class' urge to eliminate nations and national culture, customs, traditions and of course religion. We must think of them AS DEFEATED.

Merry Christmas!

When we are truly lit with the grace we discover we find strength we never understood we possessed. With this strength and the strength of others we can do things we never thought possible. The spirit of true Christmas stands against the Plastic blow up Santas, deer, Nativity scenes we endure painfully. Time to understand there truly was no room at the end. There still isn’t. We selected for the wrong Christmas.

Stunningly beautiful. I don't really have a bucket list, but if I did, at the top would be to find myself in the Swedish countryside on Dec 13. I don't know how I've lived 70 years without knowing about this wonderful tradition. Many thanks to you for plugging this gap in my experience!

Absolutely beautiful.

My sister writes about the saints year round - but especially at Christmas. She just posted about St. Lucia (who was born, I think, in 340 AD).
