Thanks for reminding me about a classic. They threw it together in 3 months. There were problems one being "the CBS executives worried about the scene where Linus recites the story of the birth of Jesus Christ from the Gospel of Luke. It was too long, they believed. And too literal. The CBS executives assumed Americans, especially kids, wouldn't want to sit through a spoken passage from the King James Bible."
"They were freaking out about something so overtly religious in a Christmas special," Melendez said. "They basically wrote it off.
Charles Schulz wouldn't budge. So we got to enjoy a Charlie Brown Christmas!
I read this a few weeks ago: "A time-honored holiday tradition has come to an end.
The iconic Charlie Brown films we all know and love will not air on broadcast television this holiday season. Apple TV+, which bought the exclusive rights to the franchise in 2020, will be the only platform airing the classic movies."
Sorry...only plays for 1:15 and then it's says it can't be played and gives link to Youtube but still no full movie......anyways, no worries....I have it at home but thought you might like to know......
I love the Peanuts. I have all of the episodes and movies on DVD. My favorites are Snoopy, Sally, Linus und "good ol' Chuck" himself. There is another later Christmas episode, where in the Christmas play Sally has to say only one word: Hark! And she practises her line all the time, but in the end messes up and says: Hockeystick! And of course blames her brother😂. But she also gets to meet Harold Angels...
I assume the author is aware that the construct "post-you-know-what-world" is the mind control coup that it is. Is this an assumption or an outbreak of optimism?
Celia, I just went to my local Methodist for the carols and readings by candlelit service, which was at 10.30 in the morning today (as the World Cup final is tonight).
it's a lovely service and the choir of 9 voices singing unaccompanied was beautiful
I was a bit perturbed by the responses to words about Mary, which were ' when God reigns, there is room for all ages and genders'!!
the final one in response to 'Let us ask ourselves if we scorn and shun because of age or gender?' the candles were lit for all who are 'different from us and all who are marginalised because of age or gender'
I thought God made us male and female. Apparently not, he made more.
My mum didn't have a clue what was going on, which was quite funny.

"Charles Schulz wouldn't budge."
There it is! I assumed this but did not know it. Hooray for him.
One of my favorites! Always makes me cry! I think they are happy tears. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you Celia! Warm memories of simpler times.
I am partial to dogs... Snoopy
Love Charlie Brown's Christmas.
Many thanks for your much needed pro bono service.
Have a happy Christmas and best for 2023!
We need you to be match-fit for 2023 :)

I watch this every Christmas!
This pairs with the also equally-enjoyable Garfield Christmas!
This has a few wonderful moments and lots of Christmas fun! ^^

Fortunately, many of us own the DVD, and will be showing it to our grandchildren, no matter what the Godless Commies think!
I loved seeing this every year as part of the Christmastime celebration. Totally brilliant.

I just meant that since then it seems we have to be extra dimensionally joyless at all times.
Snoopy was my favorite and, knowing this, my mom’s nickname for me was ‘Snoop’ (resulted in a few raised eyebrows as an adult 😹)
oh, and love the snoopy music too!
