Thank you for the update and pictures! If I had a veterinarian like Nestor maybe I would have the courage to get another dog.

Nerve damage: hypernicum 30c. You can add seven or eight pellets to 8 ounces of water let it dissolve and then give it to him on a Q-tip on his gums.

I said a prayer for Alex when you sent the first article. Such great news!!! Pets really are the best, and we need them in our lives. Take care.

My dear 16 YO little girl kitty Tee-tee recently fell from her basket and cracked her spine. She was one of those kitties that never complain and are always in a good mood. Even after her fall, she retained her good humor. She couldn't walk or pee. We had her examined by t he vet the next day and there was nothing to do but have her humanely euthanized.

The night before I stayed with her and she ate as much food as I could give her, but I knew she was not OK.

I miss her so much even though I have other kitties. She was the most faithful always there kitty I've ever had. She was a "MAGA" kitty, all white and a real doll.https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=AwrgzPStkO1nnrMC9oBXNyoA;_ylu=Y29sbwNncTEEcG9zAzEEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3BpdnM-?p=MAGA+kitty&fr2=piv-web&fr=yfp-t#id=1&iurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.kym-cdn.com%2Fphotos%2Fimages%2Foriginal%2F001%2F725%2F821%2F72b.png&action=click

Condolences!! I was shaky yesterday with my 15 y/o kitty in surgery. She has a condition that could lead to more in the future. The thought filled my eyes with tears because I will put down rather than have her go through another surgery & aftermath. I know that it's terrifically hard to say good-by to such a sweet luv, so blessings to you as you go through the loss & missing your MAGA kitty.

My goodness this just happened to me with my grand dog! It was just the most horrible thing! I was dog sitting for my daughter’s family. It happened on the last day-family was actually on their way home. I sat down on the couch and as soon as that happens-Lola will immediately jump up to cuddle with me. Well this time as she jumped up I heard the most horrifying screech and she was shaking and in so much pain. As I’m trying to calm her and figure out what happened I realized she was paralyzed from the waist down! Apparently that jump was the last straw that broke the camels back! Neurological damage that paralyzed her and we euthanized her. I’m still haunted by the screech and the aftermath. I loved that Lola. I am grateful it happened with me and not while the grandkids were there.

Oh yay! Glad to hear, Celia. Yes, let him have his freedom. Just watch cats for a short while to know they'd prefer to take their chances. Life is risky for all of us, and only ends up one way. May as well be loving life while you can.

Glad to hear from Desiree about Traumeel. Also, it's a good idea to buy a basic homeopathy kit to have around for emergencies like this. I have a friend who saved her cat from a Diamondback rattler bite with apis.

With apis? Oh please, do tell more!

Yes, apis mellifica, a distillation of honey bee venom. A must-have for those allergic to bee stings, but it can work on other venom as well.

❤️ Thank you for being there for him, Ms Celia; thank you for paying attention and questioning and following your instinct - you did a really good job!!

A fracture is painful but will heal over.

His nerve damage, I hope it resolves itself away.

Bach Flower Remedies can be used safely for animals - in their diluted forms.

But his real recovery will come from his brother (?), Rafa, who is already on the job!😻

In other news: you could make an enclosed catwalk - they can be attached from balcony to balcony, or out and around and back from a tree limb….

The cats don’t go as far but they get fresh air and sunshine and smells and no dogs and no falls.🥹

An enclosed cat walk or an enclosure in a yard is a decent compromise for the indoors or outdoors decision.

Get creative and you can make it a cat paradise. Add shelves at varying heights to climb and sit on, or use real tree limbs for climbing and scratching. Other possibilities are small drinking fountains and pots of catnip. Make sure to provide shade in one area for cats to stay cool in hot, sunny climates.

Insects and small critters (birds, chipmunks) will still be able to fly, or run through the enclosure if you use deer netting. Lots of ideas and companies who sell enclosure kits online, or enjoy building your own if you've got some skills.

Good ideas.

I built mine about 8 years ago, it’s been a saving grace for older cats.

I love cats and I know you do too. It's not my business but I wish you could keep Alex indoors. It's too sad thinking of him parachuting off the high rails. Much love to you.

good to hear alex is on the mend! and yes, celia, i was just yesterday thinking about if i had only one word to express my being it would be 'gratitude'. i take nothing that brings light to life for granted, including you dear one. my prayer is always simply 'thank you, i love you'.
