The gambler's fallacy that these things happened back then, in some dim and distant past, and are not happening now is absurd. Now that the Left that has become the Establishment, and the it's the so-called Right (a populist movement mischaracterized as far-right by mass media and the DNC), no one gives a shit. In fact they ignore it, deny it, or cheer it on. Investigating and exposing the intelligence community's imperial conquests and bloodshed abroad while spying on and framing political figures and movements at home was to my mind the hallmark and highest point of what the Left did in the latter part of the 20th century. Very few traditionally on the Left have risen to the challenge of having an ethical backbone and standing against current horrific abuses of power: Naomi Wolf, Glenn Greenwald, Michael Tracey, Leo Terrell, Tim Pool, now Rose McGowan has #walkedaway. A rather short list but by the time this chapter is finished the ranks will swell, and the wheat will be separated from the chaff.
The other govscam that falls under the gambler's fallacy error is the false belief that in 2021 the government is not complicit in the international and domestic drug trade. Iran/Contra was in the past, Freeway Rick Ross's L.A. operation is the stuff of legend, Vietnam heroin was even further back, Klaus Barbie organizing the nascent cocaine trade in Bolivia is ancient history. They couldn't possibly be in bed with Mexican cartels and shipments of source chemicals from China. Right?

I saw some video in February that the photographers and cops were all staged in positions to film the guy (actor) that was wearing the horns and the cop that led the crowd up the stairs inside of the building.
