Which suggests any old excuse will do. I am sure there are plenty of safe places in France to go to though, the media always makes a meal of things and Marseilles has always had problems.

My understanding is that the car was stopped and the driver was shot by the cop while the car was sitting still. That's what the video shows. It also quotes the officer who shot the boy: "I'm going to put a bullet in your brain." Is this not accurate? The headline to this story above suggests that the boy was running away from the cops, but I haven't seen anything else to suggest this. Does anyone know the actual facts? I suppose he could have tried to evade the police by driving in a bus or bike lane before they stopped him. From what I have seen, it looks like an execution, perhaps prompted by something that happened earlier. I read that the police lied about the encounter, claiming that the boy was trying to escape, but the video clearly shows that he was stopped, no matter what happened before the shooting.
Govt's aren't working for the ppl anymore and the value of the live of a human being is considered futile, AND the police force is composed by police men / women from different kinds of European countries ( so there's an absent of emotional bond with the French ppl = so they can do their job "propperly" ) So my guess is that this [ almost ] civil war will continue untill it MAY interfer with their planning ! So for example NOT because TOO many civilians have been slaughtered down. No. They'll stop when it interferes with their plans OR when 'they' have another STRATEGY.
