There is apparently no length to which the Left here in the States will go to in order to stay in power. That was quite evident when they voted Biden into power. To believe that more people voted him in than any previous President is to be willingly complicit in the destruction of our society as we have known it. Thus, with the model for this destruction being served by the country the rest of the free world emulates, it is harder to argue the voices that used to be background static chanting anti American slogans.
Ironically, if we somehow do throw of the oppressive yoke we now find ourselves under, the inevitable backlash may well be an equally oppressive counter weight that will be needed to keep the radicals in check.
My own view is that long term peace is the dream stemming from centuries of bloody wars. But this same peace cradles a population that has outgrown any sustainability of peace and ability to understand the needs of the many are equal to the needs of the few on a relative scale. We need a much much smaller population to thrive. Getting there will happen, but how will be a tragic memory left to those who rebuild the world from the ruins.
