Once you have the .iso, you need to write it to the USB stick (8 GB or better). I think on Windows this is best done with Etcher. The process should be smooth and straightforward.
With the USB stick made ready for action, you had better check the boot order of your computer - first in line must be "boot from USB device" or some such. To change the boot order, one of the F keys is used, usually F10, F12, or F7 - instructions flash briefly on the screen as the computer is being switched on.
Stick the thumb drive in, reboot, and Linux should come up singing and dancing. Reading and comprehension may be needed during the process, without rushing it. Should anything go wrong, just start from scratch.
The Nixon thing has a high user rating, but I suspect it may be cumbersome due to its complexity. TOR slows traffic down, and VM itself further increases the load to the system; I avoid using it due to my usually vintage hardware.

I.e., if I were an advisor to the Cabal, I would have said the following:

Just to clarify, Celia, the ONE event I do believe is the moon landings and I think it's a shame that so many disbelieve or doubt that astonishing achievement. What's so interesting about the moon landings is that they show that those who disbelieve them simply don't know how to look at the evidence properly. They judge by their seeming implausibility and their inclination-to-disbelieve bias rather than the evidence and they overestimate their knowledge and understanding of space and space travel - there's dangers in independent thinking - you need to know your limits.

You could never fake landing on the moon with any credibility, the conditions are too alien notably black sky against a brilliantly sunlit surface - they went at lunar dawn. Can't fake that at least not back then and not convincingly in thousands of photos from 6 missions. But the point is if it could be faked ... we see no signs of it and in psyops they always TELL us underneath the propaganda Revelation-of-the-Method (ROTM) style. What I want to know is why has no disbeliever of the moon landings ever pointed out the astounding anomaly that there are no ROTM signs in the moon landings while in every other psyop known to man there are ROTM signs.
When I went to see First Man at the cinema I anticipated that the light density wouldn't seem quite as strong as we see in the Apollo photos and my judgement is that it isn't (although perhaps that's bias). I heard that the director said he thinks it would have been easier to go to the moon itself and film it rather than what he had to go through to fake it ... and I can see where he's coming from.

While my sister and I are equally willing to disbelieve the authorities that is where our similarity in thinking completely ends and I've realised I simply cannot discuss anything with her any more as our thinking is just so different. Just to clarify, Celia, the ONE event I do believe is the moon landings and I think it's a shame that so many disbelieve or doubt that astonishing achievement. What's so interesting about the moon landings is that they show that those who disbelieve them simply don't know how to look at the evidence properly. They judge by their seeming implausibility and their inclination-to-disbelieve bias rather than the evidence and they overestimate their knowledge and understanding of space and space travel - there's dangers in independent thinking - you need to know your limits.

You could never fake landing on the moon with any credibility, the conditions are too alien notably black sky against a brilliantly sunlit surface - they went at lunar dawn. Can't fake that at least not back then and not convincingly in thousands of photos from 6 missions. But the point is if it could be faked ... we see no signs of it and in psyops they always TELL us underneath the propaganda Revelation-of-the-Method (ROTM) style.
