I didn’t hear it the way you do. It sounded like he was talking about January 6 and how bad conservatives are to me. Of course he is a coy little prince and even on his way out does not have the courage actually stand for anything. I really dislike this fellow. Good riddance. Of course he should have been fired earlier for mendacity.

Perhaps, but if he were criticizing the Jan 6 nothingburger, I would think he would have said so, because talking about that is definitely not taboo.

Strangely... people died in that 'nothing burger'. Other Capitol police officers were gravely wounded. Some committed suicide after. I hope you experience better, more tame ,'nothing burgers', than 1/6 in the future.

The only person who died was a so-called deplorable, and by a security guard. The ones who 'committed suicide' were likely suicided. They flat out lied about the other deaths, easily disproven. Esp. the cop that was 'killed' only he wasn't - per his family.

Yes, most insurrections are done by unarmed people who stand patiently within the roped lines waiting to go in. LMAO.

'The one who committed suicide were likely 'suicided'.' Yeah... when you have proof... share. Otherwise, you're just more propaganda. I guess the leader of the 'Proud Boys' who's now serving a prison term, was just 'standing in line' ? Well, certain elements of the 'protest' were well organized military style operations groups. Most people were peaceful. A serious element, using the protest as cover, were not. This was an attempt to overturn an election. FACTS will prove that this is so. But hey... who needs facts (ie: roll the videotape) when you can listen to Trump and his minions Lie their asses off ?

I agree and don't know how anyone that witnessed 1/6 can see it as anything other than an attempt to over throw the government. Trump is a criminal!!! And I hate Democrats!

You clearly make the case against your viewpoint when you fail to respond to the challenge to submit 'proof' of your claims. But... you do know how to turn a phrase. 'Neoliberal authoritarian CNN-inspired garbage.' Well done ! But sadly, without any proof... it's you who are the troll. Troll on Vida...

I agree. What I took from it is that he can’t go along with it anymore, that he has finally woken up to what he is complicit in….

But there are also so many layers to all this. These other comments could very well be correct, it may be like the kidnappers scripting his SOS for him… What I see as his awakening/breaking free could all just be another layer of the Soviet Strategic Deception that has been so perfected by our CIA.

I don’t know what to think about anything anymore.

An “institutionalist” who loves “this place” is like a “Catholic” who “loves the pomp and circumstance.” The real mystery here is why were you watching MSNBC in the first place?

I wasn't. I saw this item via a mailing list. I would never watch MSNBC as a viewer.

That was kind of bizarre for a guy like him. "Institutionalist" is code for "establishment propagandist" IMO. Because, yeah, it doesn't matter what party is in control, he's lived a life of advocating for the establishment, papering over its lies, and giving aid and comfort to the destruction of our country from within.

So, while it is interesting to ponder what he means by the "burning down the house" metaphor, I suspect that it might be one of those things that could mean what we want it to mean regardless of what side of the issue we may be on.

The story goes that discovery is buying CNN and that MSNBC could be next.

Apparently Discovery wants their new acquisitions to do actual journalism again.

That must make many talking heads quite nervous.

Interesting. But I won't believe any MSM will be doing actual journalism, I don't think it's possible any more in our current climate.

I was wondering about this one, too!

I don't know if you saw my latest Substack but in short, it immediately brought to mind "Network," including this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRuS3dxKK9U&t=2s (including all the "meta" layers of "Network").

I haven't owned a tv set for many years. I stopped watching tv before I got rid of the physical set. But I know very well what it is. It's evil. That's what Brian's been a part of. I am not a mushy forgive everything type of Christian. Not even close. I believe in forgiveness but forgiveness is far from automatic for me. Brian has been part of something very evil for a long time. As Del Bigtree (who I find to be not solid) notes, all tv is pharma-funded. That's what prompted him, according to his own account, to leave network tv and do his own thing, which isn't 100% different than what network tv is doing. That could be coincidental - because I do acknowledge that caring people can be trapped within Rockefeller medical dogma and germ theory - or it could be sinister, as it is with GB News, as Hugo of "Hugo Talks" notes. (And I do use GB News items here and there, although I didn't know what I know about them. I will exercise caution.)

Hugo explains his misgiving about GB News: (https://www.bitchute.com/video/Yc8Kk9AxkpnO/)

But I agree with Celia about Brian's words being strange. I guess that we can only wait to see what he says when he no longer has to worry about whether a boss approves or not. (Unless that boss is the CIA.)
