God bless Clarence Thomas. He's a great American, and an inspiration. We are truly blessed to have him on the Court.

This moved me deeply. He’d rather die than “withdraw from the process”: a statement of profound courage and integrity.

And now, having seen him on the Supreme Court, I also know how brilliant and principled he is in making sure that our laws adhere to the U.S. Constitution.

A TRUE AMERICAN HERO.

(I was on a hiking trip in Nepal when the hearings were held, but vividly remember coming back and agreeing with all my Democratic female politically-oriented friends telling me how horrible it was that the U.S. Senate ignored the sexual harassment charges made... sigh. I’ve come a long way since then!)

It was a shame that W. Bush did not appoint either Judge Thomas or Scalia to the top position of Chief Justice, and instead put new judge John Roberts in that position. (who lacked experience and testing under fire).

If the rumors are true, during the closed-door meetings discussing the questions about the 2020 election and its validity, VERY LOUD words were overheard, even outside the doors, where Thomas was saying something to the effect of "John, you are risking the future of our entire democracy and the future of our whole nation!"

That is, by NOT hearing the case of Texas, soon joined by several other states who wanted a full review of process and results, which was refused for"lack of standing" as the ruling came out of the Roberts court.

The Supreme Court spent 60 days reviewing the "hanging chads" in Florida in 2000, yet even the appeal by several states was dismissed by Roberts, though he and newly appointed judge, Amy Coney Barret, could have ruled 6-3 in favor of an investigation that might have avoided what has happened now.
