I love your poem. I only came across it recently. I love Tess' reading because her her clipped voice gives it a vintage feeling, which makes it feel like an ancient lament of some awful historical episode from generations ago.
Although it's frustrating to see so many people apparently incapable of waking up, it's also true that the scams, frauds and crimes ARE now being exposed almost in real time (thanks to the internet), whereas before it would take decades or even centuries for any truth to come out (if at all). This is the true 'singularity'. At least, the only one that matters.
Now whenever politicians try to 'sell' the scams of their masters, they are like second rate stage magicians, with the audience (a good proportion anyway) pointing out the trap doors and hidden compartments even as the trick is being performed.
It's hard to comprehend how so many can still remain in a trance. It feels like a challenge to find the right key to wake them up, and potentially save their souls .... I guess that's always been the purpose of art - even memes!

Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but wouldn't it be amazing if we could get thousands if not millions of citizens worldwide to makes videos of themselves reading your poem. Maybe this has already begun. Would be momentous.
That would be amazing, Lori. My only concern would be that having thousands of videos with the same title would dilute the searches and drown out Tess's and Mike's readings, which are so powerful, I wouldn't want them to get lost in the crowd. As the project is currently unfolding, I can select the people with the highest integrity whom I feel are appropriate voices for these words. I am also working with a professional filmmaker to ensure the highest-quality cinematography, and then I edit and set the videos to my husband's music compositions to create individual works of art that I hope will serve as historical and poetic artifacts for decades to come.
