Documentary: "History Of Russia, Rurik To Revolution" Goes Viral, As People Grow Hungry For Historical Context
I just watched this documentary, “History of Russia: Rurik To Revolution” not intending to spend 45 minutes watching anything right now, but it had me so absolutely fascinated, I watched to the end.
It is literally unbelievable—the history of Russia-Ukraine since the Bronze Age, and the beginning of the Rurik Dynasty—Russia. (In the article linked above, Rurik descendants lay claim to the Kremlin fortress.)
Among the countless astonishments: Prince Rurik was a Scandinavian Viking, a “Varangian,” asked to unite the warring Slav tribes during the Bronze Age, establishing “Kievan Rus.” But does this mean that all Russians have Scandinavian ancestry?
The Varangians, was the name given by Eastern Romans to Vikings, mostly Swedes. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, Varangians ruled the medieval state of Kievan Rus', settled among many territories of modern Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, and formed the Byzantine Varangian Guard which later also included Anglo-Saxons. Wow.
Despite being Russian Jewish on one side (my father) and Swedish on the other, (my mother) I certainly never heard this. (Then again nobody in my family was a historian of Russia’s wars.) (And we virtually never shared a dinner table.)
Maybe I am resonating because I feel I have little idea of my own history, never mind this history. One must first forge some kind of connection, for history to begin to come alive. How can we know what to believe, when events playing out in front of our eyes in the present are distorted beyond recognition. (Like, for instance, the evidence of US collusion with Ukrainian criminal oligarchs, as proven in the fossil record known as Hunter Biden’s laptop.) Twitter banned even private message transmissions of the NY Post stories, now vindicated.
Well, let’s trust something—we have to.
This is more or less the history of Russia’s ruling dynasties, wars, uprisings, and battles. It speaks to the present moment, no matter what. How?
History, like a river, never stops, and everything that happens is indelibly connected to everything that has ever happened. It seems to me that Russia is presently at war with the “West,” ruled by the United States, (no longer united.) Ukraine is the battlefield. The House of Bush/Clinton/Obama/Biden/Zelensky/Kolomoisky/CIA/Soros/Gates/Schwab/EU/UN/WHO/Vatican et al) V. The House of Putin, Coming out of USSR/KGB etc then seemingly, apparently, seeking to restore Christianity’s values in Russia by way of the Russian Orthodox Church and rejection of Globalist/LGBTQ/Transhumanist/Woke revolutionary ideas. That’s what I see. (Even though Putin has been a player in WEF and so forth.)
As this documentary is ‘official history,’ not “hidden” history, I have no doubt it is rife with omissions and misinterpretations. (No mention, for example, of the Masons, the Rothschild banking cabal, and so forth.) That (the hidden history) is not what I look to this documentary for. I’ll settle for official history, just to learn these basics.
Russia has been at war almost without interuption since the Bronze Age. No surprise there, you might say. But notice how what we in 2022 call Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is fed to us so radically de-contextualized, it appears in mass media as a psychotic mutation of normal conduct, since history is never invoked. Unless by history, you mean 1-2 days ago. On Twitter.
In the past, before modernity, technocracy, social media—everything, all the time, was invasion, war, death, invasion, war, death—fought by men and horses, neither given any choice in the matter.
Lastly, I want to state on the record that the building of St. Petersburg is something I do not believe could have been done by the peasants who perished, as myth has it, under Peter The Great. Maybe we can talk about this in the future. Or maybe all those rabbits would like us to stop taking up space in their tunnels. Especially since we never seem to get to the bottom of anything.
So the Viking connection to Russia is something I remember reading about many years ago. And the recollection is now dim. I'm going to try to relocate what I read. That said, the "pre-history" of us all is something we may never know--or be told. Sort of like who were the Ten Tribes of Israel (who may just be fake--or maybe not?). Or Atlantis. Or Tartaria. Fomenko said 1000 years were added to history, called the Dark Ages. What to make of this? We all suspect that official history is basically fiction. who has the truth?
More narrowly, this new piece from Off-G I thought was very cogent in positioning Putin in the New World Order. Of course, this is close to my own view, but the juxtaposition of Putin's continual alliance with the NWO but against US imperialism is the key focus. I would suggest that US imperialism is going to result in the final collapse of the US, and the sanctions on Russia are the key modality to bring that about, as the dollar reserve currency status is now directly threatened. Once that goes, the US falls off a cliff and inflation goes Weimar. Putin seems to be a player here to help bring that about, notwithstanding the apparent facts on the ground. We'll see how this plays out, but herewith the article. It is not long, but very cogent:

I agree that history is ever present. But I also think its influence on a person is based on proximity in space, time, and culture. The history described above seems to be highly localized in that sense. To me, this comes down to the singular question, “does this advance or hinder the WEF agenda?” It’s not clear to me yet. The way things are going, I still waffle. I hate to be in the position of hoping Putin is like Darth Vader saving Luke (humanity) from the clutches of the emperor. But if he’s only a storm trooper, we’re all screwed.
