“Revolting headline. Leaving.” Was the comment. It was the post in which I quoted somebody or other, from a podcast, saying the NYT staff were “slitting their wrists,” because Musk bought Twitter. I did actually get an internal signal, but posted it anyway, because I wanted to show the wild emotions on both sides and didn’t take time to think better of it. I admit my mistake and I’m sorry. Quoting somebody else is not an excuse, because you’re endorsing what they said.

That is a very typical figure of speech. Chances are she had some sort of weird issue in her past. Nothing in your post or remarks was inappropriate.
Not revolting at all . . . if anyone can't see those words for what they are that's their problem, not yours. That's the kind of person who also won't be able to handle truly free speech on Twitter or any other platform.
