I would posit that humans have always had the ability to communicate electromagnetically, but this feature of our consciousness has been degraded and obscured by poison jabs, poisoned air, water and food, and the seething static electro-fog we all find ourselves immersed in. I will add that I believe this original function is being supplanted with the introduction of synth-nano-bio, and the internet of bodies.

You should check out Rupert Sheldrake who thinks humans communicate with what he calls morphic resonance, maybe of some use

Funny, a friend of mine mentioned Sheldrake last night during dinner...

Eugene Marais also wrote a very entertaining book on his observation of baboons in the wild, called "My friends the baboons". Well worth a read.

He first codified Africans making it an official language. He was my friends teacher too. His two books, “the Soul of the white Ant” written so poetically and a total biological breakthrough that stimulated Jane Goodall for her work snd many other prominent naturalists includingvthe great work of the Nazi Conrad Lorenz’s “The Territorial Imperative.” And his monumental “The Soul ofvthe Ape,” which should be required reading for sll anthropologists as Marais so clearly demonstrated our devolution from the exquisitely instinctive multiple sensitive human with extraordinary abilities even greater than those of the many such seemingly miraculous instinct behaviors of other animals. Both books were published by his son after Eugene’s death. He became totally depressed and eventually died of an overdose in his depressed state due to the lack of support for him in the various scientific snd literary forums for his claim of originality of “The Soul of The White Ant “ stolen , plageurized by Marterlink.

Wonder how Celia came to learn about Marais.

Bud, thank you for this wonderful bit if history and background! I learned of Marais only because Aram told me about him and I asked him to write a short piece.

I had never heard of Eugene Marais or his work until this introduction, so thank you, Aram and Celia. Another natural philosopher readers might find intriguing is Terrence Howard. Just watched this Joe Rogan interview yesterday and feel compelled to recommend it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g197xdRZsW0

Eugene Marais was apparently free to spend much of his time exploring and observing his subject, unlike those who get characterized as 'nerds' today, who get faced with the question posed by Herman Melville's Bartleby the Scrivener, whether they 'prefer not to' pursue lives as clueless wonks desperate for somebody to care for them as they wake up to the alarm clock and reach for the morning's first strong coffee.

I love this! More of this!...If I had a dollar for every person who has told me lately something along the lines of, "We are more electric than chemical"...There seems to be a mass awakening to this issue, and interest in it...

I love the unusual things you discuss, especially science & its oddities. Not that I don’t love hearing about our insane world. It’s just a nice diversion ☺️

Dr.Harold Aspden was a physicist at Cambridge ( he might still be, he was alive in 2010). His work was along the lines of Tesla’s work. It was based on the existence of the aether which is the fundamental medium , the fifth element. It is why Tesla, Aspden and others postulated a perfectly clean energy that can be accessed from anywhere. This scientific branch was abandoned in the early 1900’s. Many physicists believe Aspden should’ve received the Nobel peace prize for his work.

Many of his books and articles are available free online , pdf

🤩 I grew up with Marais’ writings in South Africa but never thought much of it… At 40 I do realise the value of not only his observations but also his prose (Afrikaans language) so I was excited to find one of his books amongst my mother’s stuff during a recent visit home to bring back as my children are big enough to start reading and appreciating my mother tongue, Afrikaans (apart from English and French). Very nice to see an Afrikaans oom’s insights promoted by the likes of Celia Faber!
