In my latest letter (calling on US legislators to reject S.3737, basically the Ministry of Truth for public health), I provide updates on the status of the IHR amendments—including the thrilling news that they withdrew 12 out of the 13 amendments (they swapped in a few new ones, but none as threatening as the original verbiage).
There is a growing international resistance to the WHO, and they are taking notice. After #StopTheTreaty, we will be turning to #StopTheWHO to encourage member states to exit the WHO, depriving it of both funding and purpose simultaneously.

We're very precise in many things we do: many of us have to be to keep our jobs, to understand things, and to run small businesses or even households. Yet, as Ms. Farber points out, we're not very precise with language when it comes to concepts related to the common good.
What's "public health"? Destroying small businesses, making children afraid and keeping them on computers all day, making the public fearful with 24/7 fear porn? Is that "public health"?
Odd how our ability to maintain distinctions can function at very high levels when it comes to fairly narrow matters but falls apart when it comes to more global matters regarding civic discourse.
Make language great again: define our terms, and even more, determine what actual entities we're talking about when we say such things as "public health" and "stay safe." What does it mean to "stay safe"? Stay safe from what? At the exclusion of everything else, is that what "stay safe" means? To inject fear into our children, is that "stay safe"?
Wendell Berry wrote a splended little book: Standing By Words. If we could only learn to do this, our neighbors might again start loving us! Who knows, maybe our lovers would also?

Looking at the room and the dais, it appeared to be relatively empty and one gets the impression these are unworldly Gods sitting above everyone else. WHO is the biggest joke next to the CDC and FDA. I will never trust any of them or bow down to their silly demands.

Sometimes when I'm typing a reply comment in these damnable little boxes, on a tiny little phone screen, I'll accidentally delete a half hour's worth of writing, or more, just by accidentally brushing the "cancel" button below the text box, with a clumsy finger movement. There really ought to be an intermediate step...a dialogue box asking if you REALLY wanted to delete all of the hard work...
But no such luck... It's actually a fairly sadistic design bug - or perhaps they see it as a particularly cruel feature.
So I can sympathize. Nothing is more frustrating. Except, perhaps - the John Lennon-esque lyrical or poetry attempts, of Ted AdHominem the (Eritrean) Terrorist.
