Substack reading has become an addiction especially when you dig deep into the reader’s’ comments. But unlike other more destructive habits, the price you pay is your time which could be spent doing all of the things required for living a normal life. It’s a dilemma for sure.
But Celia I want you to know just how much I enjoy reading yours. You always put your heart into everything you write.
Good for you, Celia. About a month ago I made the decision to seriously cut back on my Substack subscriptions, both paid and free. I realised after 2 odd years of "staying on top of" the covid debacle I had seriously neglected other areas of my life. So I was brutal about it, even culling people like Dr Malone and Steve Kirsch, hard as that was. Those I kept I can count on one hand, and you're one of them. Keep up the good work!
"I experience this place as the invention of a new form of “journalism,” which is emotion-based and symbiotic."
I've been wanting to share with you that this is PRECISELY my impression of what is happening at The Truth Barrier (such a great name), but haven't for whatever reason. I've been anti The News for a long time, but over the last couple of years with a visceral disgust I can barely express; there are simply no words. I've seen this site develop and felt/intuited that it's the new thing, the new way of doing news. Together. Someone of your talent and experience at the helm, but yes, as you say, like a symbiont. It is almost a miraculous birth to my eyes, with this delicate yet impervious strength to it, which is the kind of strength love emanates. That you are aware of this, are midwifing this here, is just so effen awesome (pardon my street London)!
Anyway, I'd contribute more financially, but Annette and I share a very low income between us. If that changes, I'll be happy to up my contribution.
Ah yes, on kittens. Firefly gave birth last Wednesday evening to one black-and-white and one blue-grey kitten. Names not decided yet, but we are all over the moon here at home. We are now a family of two parents, two daughters, one very large malamute wolf-dog, and now four cats, two of which have yet to open their eyes. A zoo, but a very happy zoo.
Anyway ... Go you, Celia! And I look forward to hearing about your new family member!
You're a contributor. Many here are, but their comments turned to posts are still in the cabinet of good intentions. I am serious. Many Toby comments waiting to become posts. As well as others. Many. see what I mean about symbiont!? yes, you always did. :)
Well, at some point, you gotta come home. Every time I think of Spain I think of "Hills Like White Elephants" and "Gladiator." I know you're hoping to do a travel mag, but that's pretty transparent. Anyway, you're better at conspiracy theor..., I mean, telling the truth.
I know what you are doing is not easy, emotionally or financially. I appreciate what you do, though I sometimes do not have the time or emotional/mental bandwidth to engage. I sense that you have been to hell and back bc of how your excellent work was discredited and maligned. I hope you can breathe easier these days. Maybe knowing how many people recognize your value is helpful. Thank you.

As someone who has greatly enjoyed the honest, brave, heartfelt, insightful, and not beholden to mainstream/corporate interests writings of Celia, I hope more people will consider switching over to paid subscriptions. I’m a musician in the NYC area, and I’m very aware of how public support helps keep people like us able to continue to create and offer our unique writings, music, paintings etc.
Even as little as $5 a month makes a difference.
And no, I am not paid by Celia LOL I just believe in her work, and I know that every little bit helps 🌟☀️🙂
Celia, thank you for your post, I always look forward to seeing your comments. Rebel News, Truenorth and Epoch Times are just a few that are asking me to purchase a subscription. Nearing the age of 80, and on a fixed income, I must turn them down. When I am able, yours will be the first of the bunch that I subscribe to.
George, I was just thinking of you when you wrote this comment. I was wondering how you are, wishing I had communicated more with you and the whole gang since I kind of ran away from America. I get updates about your leg from Bibi. I heard about the new sink. I'll be back soon enough and we can spend some time together, maybe I can help with the garden, (ha!) or we can swim somewhere cold. With Bibi too. How's Kitty Bumps?
Yes, it's been an unexpectedly challenging summer for me. Feel like I'm in the midst of transition and don't know what's next. Kitty Bumps has been coming in from his wild life and cuddling me more. He knows I need it. Your words are sweet and comforting too. We're family, aren't we? Let's do all of that!.
I don’t know you but you and my younger brother share the same name!
As a confirmation to your statement…”Feel like I’m in the midst of a transition”…you are…we ALL are in the midst of a giant ‘transition’…if you are a sentient being you are feeling it…the ‘old’ is broken and no longer is working, the ‘new’ is revealing itself bit by bit…just be confident that ‘all is as it should be’ and we are evolving to new and far better moments on this planet. Have faith…🙏🏼💓
I’m very creative, but feel like I always try to split my creative endeavors up. I forget sometimes that I’m also a published poet, an active musician, photographer, graphic designer, artist, etc…. But, I feel like my videos are more important at the moment, so i try to mostly share them. But, with Substack, I don’t think matters!
You have helped my confidence immensely over the last year.
(Im already pretty confident lol, but sometimes it’s nice to have that extra push!) It means a lot to me. After my own investigation’s into the “Faucian Empire” over the last couple years, because of the current situation, I have the utmost respect for you (and others) that kept the truth alive, even though most of us had no idea what was going on. You, Duesberg, Mullis, Lauritsen, etc, etc. and your support means the world to me.
I agree with your comment about videos, Jamie. I hate podcasts and feel like I want to jump out of my skin before they finally end. Even when the performers (e.g. Dan Bongino) say everything I agree with, I feel like I'm watching one of those interminable slideshows that the Internet tricks us into watching. I much prefer the written word.

Yeah, id love to start an actual podcast too (im a guest on many) I enjoy them, but my biggest problem is time. I don’t know if you’ve seen my videos, but i do it differently. I essentially make “mini-documentaries” fact packed and source based. I understand that time is short, so i put everything relevant i can into a video and make them as short as i can. But they are ALOT of work. And when im done, i have to upload them to 6/7 different platforms (Rokfin/Bitchute/Bannedvideo/rumble/Odysee/youtube/facebook) and that in itself takes a couple hours!

Substack is such a powerful force. I'm excited for you!

How about adding the 'Ko-Fi Buy me a coffee' option? I see it on a lot of other Substacks as an affordable alternative to the annual subscription.
Thanks for all you do!
I second this idea...
God help those that speak the truth

Just upgraded my paid sub to founding member. Will happily gift a subscription here also if desired.
Bless you Dana. Thank you so so much. So many people to thank. I will get to each one.

Celia, you are a ray of sunshine in my life and many others. A friend for sure. :)
Congratulations on your well-deserved growth, Celia, and I am excited to watch The Truth Barrier continue to blossom!

The time for emotion based and symbiotic journalism is more than here! I think I'm already a paid subscriber? Can I help more?

Ya know what!? Maybe I will!!!

Heartening!

Hear Hear.
I read two people on Substack. Well, the other one is a free range super bunny, but I still count that.
I got through last winter reading Sandra's story I mean a free range super bunny.
Done--well worth it.
