Okay, this is really crazy synchronicity. I literally just finished my midnight Flamenco practice here in my little barn in North Carolina. I don't know what compelled me tonight to focus on doing fan work with my left hand. I felt like a monkey trying to remove the wrapping from a CD or like the first time I challenged myself to brush my teeth with my left hand. Eventually I got the prrrrr-clack sound to come through. Before going to sleep I checked my email and there was your beautiful post. I could not stop smiling as I was absorbing every word. And then I clicked on the Andalucia video and about a minute in I heard this strange sound building up and I thought what a great sound effect on the video and the sound got louder and louder, emphasizing the current of energy moving through each frame of the video and that's when I realized it's pouring outside and the sound was not coming from the video but from the rain beating harder and harder on my metal roof. The build up was so perfectly synced up to the video.... it was like some great director in the sky was driving home the point of "Live with passion!" I was just soaking in the wow of the moment, tears rolling down my face. And the torrent of water didn't ease up until the end of the video. Pure magic in real time. And the photo of your princely son and his radiant bride gazing at each other melted me into a happy puddle, reminded me how magnificent us humans are!
Congratulations mama! I spent a month in Spain back in ‘82 and fell in love with the people and the culture. I was in Murcia for the 23rd Dans Folklorico and watched some of the best flamenco dancers in the World
Oh this is marvelous! I'm so happy for you Celia! Congratulations! A toast to Family and Love, the only thing which truly matters as my 98 year old mother says " although very few people really value it for what it is" "the heart of life". Que viva España and Andalucía and Jeremy&Paula!

My oldest daughter took her first term of the senior university year in Spain, immersed in studies of the language and culture; she fell deeply in love with Spain, pleaded to be allowed to stay there for the remainder of the year, and had to be reminded that meant she couldn't graduate when she wanted to. She was so heartbroken that Christmas, that it took both a new Snowboard and a trip to Tahoe for her to put it through the ropes to pull her out of that funk. Now, 22 years later, with three daughters of her own, they go playing in the snow every winter, at least 3-4 times. She insists it is as important as healthy nutrition.... She also never tires of telling them how lovely Spain is, and how they will love it too, when they get to.... Congratulations to Jeremy, the bride, and to you and to the whole family - new and existing! Enjoy every minute of it; the Spanish obviously love hosting company!
Just was in the usa after 12 years for my daughters bE You TiFULL blessed wedding, and Sending Love prayers and blessings on to theirs and yours! Such a JOY! all hearts. xo
