I was probably early to mid 50's and had dogs since I was about 5 years old. Anyway, I had called the adoption center because we had recently lost a St Bernard because of cancer. The agency told me that the only large dog they had was a Rottweiler. I told them I needed a large dog but because of the Rottweiler's reputation for being fierce, I didn't want one. They encouraged me to take the dog for a walk to check it out. Ten minutes with the dog that we named Mercedes and called her Sadie had me convinced that she would be fine. She bonded with the family and especially with our youngest son who was in his mid teens, immediately, We had a 4 acre parcel, 3 of which was fenced. Sadie had her dog house in the fenced area, but I would open the gate and she would not come out unless I told her she could. She loved riding in my pickup truck, especially in the back, but in the winter I would put her in the cab with me. If I got out to do an errand, she would invariably be behind the steering wheel when I returned. When I came home from work, she would always greet me enthusiastically, but if I left home to do an errand, and left her at home, when I returned she would pout and refuse to have anything to do with me for at least 30 minutes and much coaxing. I have had more than a dozen dogs of various breeds, but Sadie was by far the sweetest and most polite, never trying to jump up on visitors, which most of my other dogs did. Thanks for the video; it brought back great memories.
As always it’s my pleasure and thank you for the shout out… I struggle with the dog video as I love him so much instantly I wish he were at my home with me and I can’t bear that he had any desperate moments. I must get a grip over these things!! As ever huge love and golden light around you xx
I'm not vacationing, so much as not returning to the US, just yet. I have not been able to make heads or tails out of where to live since they launched "Covid" in 2020, and my father died (unrelated) and everything got "Matrix-ey." Right now I'm in school studying Spanish for one month. 3 more weeks. I'll be back in the US fairly soon.

I’m not sure if there is a better way to bring out my emotions. Especially since I’m not known to be emotional.
Perhaps being a dog owner myself helps.
Thank you.
