I’ve done this dance in Greece and it’s wonderful. Most of us know that human connection is vital to our survival and we will not tolerate any more of the rubbish of any lockdown or social distancing... they can all jog on straight into the mouth of hell

Greek girl here. One of my favourites of Nana's, with Danny Kaye and Harry Belafonte. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGRDD5PJXsc

The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle. The chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! (Kapotecka-kapotecka...) secret life of Walter Mitty....

Wow. Thanks for this gem. What a pleasure to watch and listen to. I have always loved Danny K. and Harry B. Brilliant. And she is pretty awesome! The good old days.

Richard Gere looks like he could be Danny's son. Hmmm.

The good old days indeed. ❤️

Reminds me of the Lawrence Welk show, and of the Osmond's. Simple joy in music and dance in the 1970's when families could sit together and enjoy. Yes, the reruns are still good and maybe more important now to contrast our present shallowness.

Ah, the Elgin marbles. Easier to understand when you appreciate the history and geography as it was rather than as it has been taught. The history of ancient Greece actually took place in Scotland, where Doric is still spoken! The battle of Thermopylae took place in Glencoe, and Staffa is Hades (as well as being Ground Zero for the catastrophe which set off the Flood of Noah). Last month I visited the Halls of Amenti in the Underworld, more commonly known as Fingal's Cave, and returned after three days :-) On previous trips north I have been to Jerusalem and Galilee.

Thank you for such a meaningful post. Beauty is included in the Tree of Life and is also a great mystery. It is so uplifting to see this beauty from Greece and the past in the midst of the storms around us. 👍

Nana Mouskouri was always a favourite in our parties dance list. How many nights the dance floor in the house would shake! Now the CD’s are buried in a box. Thank you Celia for the trip down memory lane .. and for the nudge that the music must come out of the box.

Thank you Celia! Just finished watching this and just loved it. It reminded me of my childhood watching the old variety shows with great diverse entertainment with an entire array of entertainment.

They've stolen everything else from us, so why not the Parthenon's marbles, they're working on our's as well, though not likely to be able to put them into any museum...or? Thinking Brain in Jar, or Man with Two Brains, as it wouldn't be beyond them to have a collection form those of their greatest adversaries, such as JKF's with all the trouble they went through to move the body illegally from Texas to DC to preform the autopsy.

"In Dallas, the president’s staff had hurriedly loaded his casket onto Air Force One, while city officials squabbled over a state law that required the autopsy to be performed in Texas. Just nine minutes after Lyndon Johnson took the oath of office on the plane it was wheels up."
