This also made me cry. Look at the adoration and happiness in thier eyes as Bobby reaches out to them, to shake or hold their hands brifely. I was in Italy in 2003, and happened to be there on the anniversary of VE Day. A hill top town we visited had a local parade, some WWII vets still around to participate. Most of them carried American flags. At first I thought, why not the flag of Italy? Then, of course, I realized why. After all this time their love for Americans was still strong, these old timers who remember the crushing forces of Fascism and living under Mussolini. Yes, they know how fragile freedom is.
