We need much more silliness and fun these days.

Hard to believe we lived such simple, pleasant lives.

So funny!-- thanks for posting these! Great for kids to see, too

That was a ball. In my current sphere, I just do not get around to these kinds of comedy shows.

( roundly clever comment )

thank yu Celia -- the juggling made even the resident curmudgeon chortle wholeheartedly

Who is the curmudgeon here, me or you --- or is this a globally applicable comment?

it was a conflated message: "roundly" appreciating your comment,

then defleting from it to thank Celia for w/that post, alleviating the

mood of gloom HERE, i.e., where I am

No, no --- no problem, I am a curmudgeon for sure. I loved your well-rounded humor with simultaneously-intended, different recipients, even panoramic targets. I am generally opposed to these enormous gimmicks (which as you see will be co-opted for more crass advertising), especially when enormous amounts of wealth is used to create them. (My wife is diametrically opposed my perspective on this topic --- she love Vegas, but I have never been) But, I am watching young men and women in my neighborhood destroy their lives and psychological agency as well as die from drugs; violence,; junk entertainment, unaddressed boredom, lack of hope for marriage and family, lack of education; vicariously engaged sports; no vocabulary for effectively expressing feelings and ideas; an inability to think; no capacity for social interaction; being hooked on Rx psychotropics for dysfunctional moods and thoughts; no kinesthetic skills; not hobbies; a total lack of family and parenting; lack of community; an inability to appreciate things of excellence; no knowledge of history or great art and architecture, no historical perspective whatsoever; filthy, trashy, profoundly-ignorant teachers and principals; and --- am I going on too long? I might have gotten off on a tangent, or perhaps I actually went right to the center. Please forgive me all. Yes, the giant globe is a work of mathematics and engineering --- but for only a few. I would rather be able to teach a kid enough math (or biology or chemistry) to do really creative things on their farms and in their towns and cities. I want them to have all the disciplines available that, in addition to a full spiritual life, they can become the most of what being human is. And in the end, it is about other people and communicating with other people, the struggling people, not just accumulating wealth for the usurious bankers and the few who control cellphones, military control, police surveillance and intrusion, and those who sell tickets for junk like this globe.

That was my round about way of thanking you and Celia and the other commenters too.

Thanks you for sharing that, Celia! Michael has always been one of the best performers and is very well respected in the juggling community.

Thank you for that - real comedy!

Thanks for that!

I had completely forgotten about his appearances on Johnny Carson, and I had seen these originally...

His deadpan delivery, I think, inspired other comedians, such as Steven Wright...
