My family (two teens and my husband) found two stray kittens last July. They were in the middle of the street crying out for help, starving and dehydrated. We named them Olive and Pimento. They show us similar love and affection as Niu Niu. There's nothing like it! Thank you for sharing, Celia!
We took in a pregnant feral cat over a year ago and named her Olive. We named one of her kittens Pimento. Crazy coincidence! Found great homes for all six kittens and Olive is staying with us forever. We can actually pet her now. Sweet video.
WITH SO MUCH IN HUMANITY THESE DAYS I REALLY NEEDED THIS. BLESS YOU GIRL..THANKS CELIA !! Mah Mah .FOR THIS AND THE SENSITIVITY REFLECTED IN YOUR VALUED WORK
I went out to my car to get something and saw movement. There at my feet was a tiny slate gray kitten. I thought it was a baby squirrel at first. It was dehydrated and malnourished. I took it to my front porch, where I gave it water and some food. I told the wife and daughter not to take it inside, because we already had a cat. Well, a storm blew in with thunder and lightning and strong winds. I heard the cat at the front door mewing in distress. I ended up letting her in, and she has not left in 5 years. She is a true Russian Blue, with the bright green eyes. After a year of her bonding very closely with me, I said, "ya ga-va-ryú pa-rús-kee." She immediately looked at me with an intent gaze, so I asked her if she was a Russian agent. No kidding, her facial expression changed and she jumped up and walked away. Our relationship is back to normal, but I am pretty sure that she is an infiltrator.
We have four beautiful cats which we adopted from the shelter and one is my sweet baby girl that cuddles up to me just like this. She is the eldest and in her life she had two owners in the past and both owners decided they didn’t want her and took this sweet baby back to the shelter. WTH! Who does that! People that do that have no inner soul! She’s the joy in my life! I love all of them but especially this one. She’s a beautiful, appreciative and fragile little Tortishell! I see her little face and it melts my heart!❤️
Loved this, and reminds me of my little guy I got from a shelter two years ago. He was picked up with face sores and had to stay at the shelter several months to get vet care. Someone took him home and returned him -- he was shaking in the shelter when introduced to me and my heart went out to the poor wee thing. He clearly also has been chased by someone with a broom as they scare him.
He is an amazing little guy -- patrols the neighborhood, brings back rodent presents, and alerts me to boiling pots. But best of all he puts his arms around my neck and hugs me just like a person. It melts my heart every time.
Thank you Celia. Memories came flooding back and brought tears to my eyes. I haven't had a dog or cat for several years simply because sometimes we leave for two or three weeks at a time, and dogs and cats are just too inconvenient. But I have fish and frogs who reside here and except for the occasional pond maintenance, they look after themselves. When I was growing up we always had a dog and often we had rabbits. I would jealously watch my Dad interact with all of them because they all warmed up to him. Eventually I learned from his example to be kind to them and to love them. Then they love you back, just like people.
November 2012 washing breakfast dishes, I looked out the kitchen window and saw a white and black kitten sitting in heavily frosted grass, staring at me. Coco has been with us ever since.
Beautiful and heart warming. Our pets are our family. Animals are amazing, they all have their own personalities when you pay attention and are tuned in.
Just love this, so wonderful. Thank you. Reminds me of the love of kittens I have taken into my home.. Every living creature longs for connection and care. We are created, me thinks, for love...and to live in love. That kitten is everyman---and the owner/rescuer is everyman. We are the wounded and the healing hero, needy and generous. Love is the only healing field...the way of the soul.

Great story. The fact that she works unofficially for the FSB should not distract you from the essential, which is that you love that furry spy :)
The very best thing I've seen today. Thank you.
This is so sweet I cried! 🥲

I thank God we found each other!
Oh, my heart. I have tears in my eyes. The bond that this kitty formed with its owner is just heart-melting. I love this!

Be still my heart.
As a life long ailurophile and caregiver of a succession of fabulous felines, I adored this! Made my eyes tear up. Thanks for sharing!
I've rescued animals since I was a child. Their unconditional love is something I can't live without.

Cute. I just wish the music in these videos wasn’t so on the nose manipulative.
