Here is why I don't think the Tavistock thing holds water. Stay with me here. I am a professional musician, and it was Beatles who kickstarted my obsession. I used to be utterly mindblown as to how they came up with all of that beautiful music, just the invention of harmonies in the chords and melodies, it seemed like magic. And I'd heard the Tavistock rumors, and wondered of they were true. It did seem like they had an inordinate amount of musical knowledge from the drop.
Then, about 12 years ago, I started playing bass in a gypsy jazz band, the music of the 20s & 30s with a focus on Django Reinhardt material. Guess what? Nearly ALL of those amazing Beatles harmonic devices can be found within that repertoire! That stuff already existed. Postwar England was a major music consumer, everyone bought records and sheet music, and people sang together at parties and pubs. Those Django records were as ubiquitous as any others. And Paul's dad was a bandleader doing gigs most weekends, and George had a mentor at a music shop who showed him the "naughty chords". So, even though they "stumbled" into their genius, they were indeed the first rock group to combine those elements... and believe me, they borrowed freely. JP&G were all extremely bright and hungry for music, they absorbed all that they listened to. Everything was fair game.
Not to mention that deliciously quintessential British habit of shifting tonal centers, which I have always loved. For example listen to Bernard Cribbens' "Folk Song" and "Hole In The Ground". A more modern example is Madness' "Our House". So the Beatles weren't so far outside of basic English tonal sensibilities with their interesting shifts.
So if Beatles were from Tavistock, then so was Django, Irving Berlin, Gershwin, Satchmo, etc...? Nah.

I'm not a player of music. My appreciation is limited to listening although my musical tastes are all over the place. If had to believe how many times their sound evolved over the span of less than a decade. I know they're rooted in skiffle and R&B but what about Sgt. Peppers, M.M.Tour? I loved the song when I first heard and was haunted by it when he died. I tried to visit John and Yoko at their home in Ascott. No security no guards. I left a note at the front door. I looked in the window beside the door and there it was, the big room with the all white classical piano. I once exchanged a few words with John and Yoko as they left the Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto to go to the airport.

I saw the Beatles Play at Maple Leaf Gardens on Labour Day 1964, the evening before starting Grade 9. It was so great seeing in the film all those family members and close personal friends of the legendary figure from a happier times when we Boomers were starting to exercise our collective cultural muscle.

Artists come up with new ways to see and hear and experience things. I don't expect that that means they are automatically in league with Satan.
Also it's funny because you can take a song without that, play it backwards and hear words here and there.
Anyway, how do backwards words work in hypnotic suggestion when we ourselves do not process speech that way? It's gotta be a normal path and that's why the best hypnosis uses clear language and imagery.
There were and remain rumors that The Beatles were strongly influenced by the Tavistock Institute. A year or more ago I came across website that was devoted to the premise that both The Beatles and R. Stones were not entirely self-made (The Stones had unexplained conditions while recording at Muscle Shoals) Since I grew up, well maybe not, never mind, raised when these guys hit their stride, their evolution all seemed quite genuine to me. John too seemed authentic and spoke his mind to the point of being perceived as brash and even rude by some. What he overtly saw in Yoko I never understood. The matronly instability in his early years coupled with a strong-willed older woman perhaps settled him. The Plastic One band album had, I think, three songs I liked, especially Working Class Hero but Yoko's musical "talent" was an embarrassment to humanity. Listening on the radio back then, I recall two things most about the Toronto Peace Festival, one being Yoko's minutes long deranged scream song; the other was that the M/C was soliciting the audience for a home for Chatsworth Chicken, a bird of unknown origin that found it's way into Alice Cooper's act. I know, irrelevant, right? But so, IMHO, was Yoko. But wait ! Here's the drawstring that makes the impertinent relevant again. Here is why I don't think the Tavistock thing holds water. Stay with me here. I am a professional musician, and it was Beatles who kickstarted my obsession. I used to be utterly mindblown as to how they came up with all of that beautiful music, just the invention of harmonies in the chords and melodies, it seemed like magic. And I'd heard the Tavistock rumors, and wondered of they were true. It did seem like they had an inordinate amount of musical knowledge from the drop.
Then, about 12 years ago, I started playing bass in a gypsy jazz band, the music of the 20s & 30s with a focus on Django Reinhardt material. Guess what? Nearly ALL of those amazing Beatles harmonic devices can be found within that repertoire! That stuff already existed. Postwar England was a major music consumer, everyone bought records and sheet music, and people sang together at parties and pubs. Those Django records were as ubiquitous as any others. And Paul's dad was a bandleader doing gigs most weekends, and George had a mentor at a music shop who showed him the "naughty chords". So, even though they "stumbled" into their genius, they were indeed the first rock group to combine those elements... and believe me, they borrowed freely. JP&G were all extremely bright and hungry for music, they absorbed all that they listened to. Everything was fair game.
Not to mention that deliciously quintessential British habit of shifting tonal centers, which I have always loved. For example listen to Bernard Cribbens' "Folk Song" and "Hole In The Ground". A more modern example is Madness' "Our House". So the Beatles weren't so far outside of basic English tonal sensibilities with their interesting shifts.
So if Beatles were from Tavistock, then so was Django, Irving Berlin, Gershwin, Satchmo, etc...? Nah.
Music is a language, and people get it organically.
I'm not a player of music. My appreciation is limited to listening although my musical tastes are all over the place. If had to believe how many times their sound evolved over the span of less than a decade. I know they're rooted in skiffle and R&B but what about Sgt. Peppers, M.M.Tour? Are those "Django" chords to be found there too? The John documentary said they went to Berlin as amateurs but before long evolved into accomplished musicians. "Naughty chords", tonal centers . . . . , I wish I knew the meaning of. Thanks for your input and who buried Paul ? :- )

As for the song Imagine, I agree with you about that. it could be the anthem of the UNO or the WEF. No possessions. No nations. No religion. The song Melting Pot by Blue Mink has a complementary message: we need a hundred-year plan to turn our descendants into "coffee-colored people." I do feel that Yoko was some sort of handler--I would go so far as to say that's clear from watching this documentary. It isn't the first time I've wondered this about Yoko either. I also think that the Chapman story is wrong. As for the Beatles themselves, I think they were a genuine band and there's a ton of documentary evidence to back that up. Engineering was ongoing but some elements just become useful tools by accident. But the amount of LSD being used suggests a real vulnerability that was likely capitalized upon.

The questions about forensics of the shooting appear to be real. It appears that somebody else shot John Lennon in a tight circle of shots from a different angle. This needs to be re-examined.

It is said that YO disapproved of this documentary and banned it from airing in the USA. Anything negative in the press about her she will have the source suffer in some way even if she can't sue them.
YO is still alive but unable to have full conversations so unable to do in person or live interviews.
John was a fractured and somewhat broken man who was a shadow of his former self, beatle john , as if he had been a horse that was beaten into submission and was under YOs control.
John obviously desperately wanted to return to the UK, there is evidence that she knew of his imminent demise. Chapman's bullets completely missed John from where Chapman was standing, he was the patsy.
A truck blocked the courtyard drive in entry past the gatehouse so John and YO were forced to get out of the limo on the street and walk in front of the Dakota past the the gatehouse into the courtyard with YO walking at least 20- 30 ft ahead of John.
One of the gateway security staff was a former known c-i--a asset (used in other ops); Dumdum bullets were used with previse aim at his throat and chest.
The Double Fantasy album, and the Imagine film is part of the ongoing cover up of her involvement with his downward spiral and murder to con the public into believing the story that they were soulmates and were always deeply in love.

Even worse, YO even insisted on being given a ride home with them after that meeting by jumping into John's bentley). 1) How John changed into a different person continued: john started parting his hair to mirror how YO parted her hair, 2) After rishikesh, john hated anything to do with the Beatles in 1968 and NEVER took another vacation or trip with his fellow Beatles, 3) John was so out of his mind post rishikesh that he announced he was Jesus christ at a visit to Apple days after YO had officially stayed overnight, and 4) he wanted the other Beatles to accept YO as the 5th Beatle in the recording studio and was forever joined at the hip to her in 1968/69/70, even being escorted to the loo by his 'Mother' YO into the abbey road recording studio bathroom. IMO John couldn't be left alone for even 5 minutes post his hookup with YO.

Partly explained by the fact that people can be very prone to cult-like behavior and collective neurosis. Apparently, it isn't that difficult to organize a bandwagon effect and get people, especially teenagers, to join in. It wouldn't require electromagnetic fields. Just seed the behavior by paying a certain number of people to act it out and publicize that, and if the idols are cute enough and talented enough and the music, the marketing and the publicity are up to scratch, the phenomenon may become self-perpetuating! When the controllers did that with the Beatles, though, they exceeded all expectations. Perhaps those kids were screaming and fainting as a way of subconsciously outdoing what their elder siblings and cousins had done in the fifties.
Wow, this documentary is incredible. The sound engineer says that John hated his own voice. He liked to use a lot of delay while recording. He couldn't sing without hearing his own delay.

There were many reasons why John was killed, but he had been planning a trip back to the UK in December and had been rumored to want to start touring small gigs in Europe with a few of his former Beatles.
Yes he promised his many friends and family he was coming home but YO was afraid she couldn't keep control of him if he returned to the UK.
Plus YO wanted complete control of his estate which she got. She wanted all of John's assets which she got. If and when John woke up and could finally realize her abuse, he would have left her.

His death was a political assassination. The deep state tried to force him to leave America and he took them to court and won.
I cannot lie, december 9th, 1980 was the worst day of my life. It hit me harder than any death ever has. (Caveat: I am extremely blessed in that the deaths in my family have occurred at age-appropriate times). I was a Beatlemaniac, 4 years in and fully obsessed with everything Beatle. I have never cried for anyone like I cried for John. I feel weird saying that, and I expect that that could very well change at some point.

I thank you for your "excess" Agent Roger." "Imagine" is an important song and your view of it captures significant interpretive themes worthy of concerted and determined articulation. I loved the song when I first heard and was haunted by it when he died. I tried to visit John and Yoko at their home in Ascott. No security no guards. I left a note at the front door. I looked in the window beside the door and there it was, the big room with the all white classical piano. I once exchanged a few words with John and Yoko as they left the Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto to go to the airport.
The spirit of John Lennon inhabits me yet. Thanks Celia for putting the film on Substack. The missing pieces are on the Odyssey version cited here. I saw the Beatles Play at Maple Leaf Gardens on Labour Day 1964, the evening before starting Grade 9. It was so great seeing in the film all those family members and close personal friends of the legendary figure from a happier times when we Boomers were starting to exercise our collective cultural muscle.
