Our time here is what we make of it. Enjoy life like there’s no tomorrow. That said, may this year bring Peace and Prosperity for all. ❤️ I choose to live my life with Love, Grace and Courage.
Thank you, Celia, for the wisdom you share with us. ❤️
That is because a grace has been placed before you by Almighty God and you have chosen to act upon it. Grace rains down upon us at all times; it is a matter of whether or not we accept and act upon it. May God be with you and all others this day.
My favorite version of the song is from Dan Fogelberg: Same Old Lange Syne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfAxWtcfDUk It's different from your version and what I grew up with, but still beautiful.
To Celia and all the stackers, here, I hope your new year brings you all that your hearts desire and may you hold the people you hold in your thoughts, tight within your arms. ❤
I wanted to add some levity to the year turning. We are capable of elevating enough people into Christ consciousness so that we may avoid the havoc in store. As Jonah managed to bring a century long reprieve to Nineveh, we can also do this. We are not meant to be afraid in the face of this madness, we are meant to meet the darkness with the sword of truth and FAITH. Jesus said “Fear not, Only believe” while he went casting out demons and healing....even bringing some back from the dead.
It is up to us to harness the power of God and change our world. We absolutely can.
◄ Mark 5 ►
New King James Version Par ▾
A Demon-Possessed Man Healed
1Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the [a]Gadarenes. 2And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind [b]him, not even with chains, 4because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
6When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore[c] You by God that You do not torment me.”
8For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9Then He asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” 10Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.
11Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. 12So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 13And [d]at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
14So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 15Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. 16And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. 17Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
18And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. 19However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” 20And he departed and began to proclaim in [e]Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
21Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
25Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the [f]affliction. 30And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
32And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
35While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” 37And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw [g]a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 39When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.”
40And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 41Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. 43But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.
**another year alone with depression. I was close to choosing the easy way out**
You touch on a subject many play with.
Do you think, for us peons, it's because of perceived hopelessness of the current situation?
Do you think it could be because so many pundits offer horrible futures BUT NO offers of REAL solutions?
I'm sorry but sitting around waiting to be bankrupted, locked up, ostracized and 'shamed' for my beliefs isn't really me.
Problem is, no one out there, with a voice in the community, is willing to step forward to organize a real Non Compliance group.
Maybe there is a group hiding under a carpet waiting for the right moment to pounce. Well the longer we wait for leaders to emerge, the farther under the street compactor we will be.
Now the current blather on the internet is it's ALL OVER by next March.
All over, and not one of us lifted a finger to stop it.
Wikipedia is, predictably, off in the weeds on this one. What would you expect from an article written by a "member of the intelligence community? "
The Robert Burns poem is, of course, about our favorite neurotoxin, and a particular benefit of its moderate use.
"Consolidation" is a term used to describe how individual memories become packaged into units of higher significance. How the trees become the forest of our experience.
It's odd that the analysts (anal-ists?) Get hung up on an archaic form of the verb "to be" ("should"). When the real gist of the verse is the Cup of Kindness, and it's signifying of something special: the Will to remember with an open heart.
And, of course, it's what made Harry propose to Sally, and made Sally discover what her "hatred" of him really was.
As I said at the beginning, it's all about seconds.
Our time here is what we make of it. Enjoy life like there’s no tomorrow. That said, may this year bring Peace and Prosperity for all. ❤️ I choose to live my life with Love, Grace and Courage.
Thank you, Celia, for the wisdom you share with us. ❤️
I also have a tentatively-optimistic feeling of not-dread for 2024, which is a bit of a change.
Maybe I should have my head checked...

That is because a grace has been placed before you by Almighty God and you have chosen to act upon it. Grace rains down upon us at all times; it is a matter of whether or not we accept and act upon it. May God be with you and all others this day.
That's all I have now; the auld times. Memories of joy. Adventures. Pure fun.
I wish we could all be at a party together, a cup of kindness shared.
Happy New Year, Celia.

And to you whose screen name is; : Our Lady, Star of the Sea,
It's my first and middle name....I was born in Italy.....😘
Then you are named for someone who is very wonderful.
Yes, thank you..... 😘
Alternatively, "Should" may be understood to mean "if" (expressing the conditional mood) referring to a possible event or situation.”
See? Wokepedia is good for some things! Happy New Year Celia and Celia readers!

Love Mark 5
Next year we need a truth barrier New Year’s party. I will bring the olliebollen.
I will help eat it. I've had it every new year for as long as I can remember.
Advokaat is ook lekker.
Heerlijk, ja.
Ja zeker, broer.
Zit jij ook tussen familie die twee jaar geleden jou in een concentratie kamp wilden gooien maar nu er liever niet over wil hebben?
