I was an organic fruit farmer for 5 years in central Spain. The local people would not permit me to buy my land until I gave assurances that I would not be using any modern chemicals on my land for ANY reason. I was delighted by this and attended many meetings thereafter which taught me that Spain's farming community is fiercely protective of the land and especially the water quality.

I have been waiting to hear that they have come out in support of other EU farmers because I knew they would. They will not back down either.

How inspiring. My support for my local OG farmers has been in the form of weekly summer shopping at my local farmers market, and monthly or bimonthly winter shopping (more than twice as far away). I have known these growers for years now, and feel they value me as I do them : loyalty matters for a good cause! Only organic, some biodynamic; we are fighting to keep our local beautiful clean food available. The market just seems busier all the time. When you have been invested for this long, it begins to feel like family, I think.

We will not back down!

Celia, Russell Brand’s excellent interview with Vandana Shiva & the real history of the commercial fertilizer fiasco, as well as the takeover of farmland..forcing farmers into bankruptcy. https://youtu.be/JMo6bdiv1Gg

Brand is a complete and utter ****, he always was and always will be. He's completely controlled opposition - https://twitter.com/rustyrockets/status/1046436993163563008

Words cannot describe my loathing and contempt for that "thing". If you think he's on our side then God help you.

Legallady4's avatar

It’s his interview with Shiva that’s of interest.

baboon's avatar

Fair play but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard and I physically want to break something if I see his moronic face.

The guy has been a complete douche bag since he started trying to become famous. I hate him more than you can possibly imagine and have no interest in listening to anything he has to say. Sorry.

Legallady4's avatar

It’s what Vandana Shiva has to say.

I'm not going to write off Harari just yet. I might soon. Thanks for the links.

Here's Hariri's twitter. Problematic by the looks of it.

https://twitter.com/search?q=from%3Aharari_yuval&src=typed_query&f=live

jacquelyn sauriol's avatar

He considers us (humans) hackable things who do not deserve to think private thoughts. Enough right there to RUN AWAY!

Richard Seager's avatar

I've only seen two minutes at a time of Hariri. I'm not sure therefore whether he's been taken out of context. Is he warning us?

I doubt it, smoke fire and so on and he's also involved with WEF. All I want to do is to reach my own conclusion on him rather than allow those 2 minute soundbites to do that for me.

Russell Brand surprises me on a regular basis lol

He continues to suprise me too, but not in such good ways. Some things I can't unsee. https://www.penguin.co.uk/company/creative-responsibility/penguin-talks/yuval-noah-harari

He is an amazing gift to the world.

smokegetsinyoureyes's avatar

Oh yes I know he had him on several years back. To me that doesn’t mean anything other than he is open to a variety of guests. But I will remain open to weighing in in your thoughts as well.

I was watching him too, but his 'outrage' started seeming a bit calculated or off, and then I saw other videos and such....it is a good lesson, overall, to see who keeps you from trying to act by feigning so much outrage, but gives you the listener no real 'in' to effect change. Took me a minute. I like Robert Barnes distinctions on types of grifters, was helpful as well. Best Teresa....

Frances Leader's avatar

What a shame that Vandana Shiva gets thrown out with the dirty water being chucked at the charlatan Russell Brand.

What she has to say in that video is essential listening.

Can't you blank out the prat?

jacquelyn sauriol's avatar

Ah, maybe, but since she has a lot of good videos out there....I do not think I can watch him now, because I just imagine what he probs really says in private company. Would be good to dig deeper on how he got the platform he has. At this point I am clumping him in with GB News as something that looks pretty on the outside but is ugly on the inside. Best

smokegetsinyoureyes's avatar

I agree that sometimes his outrage gets a little pushy. Possibly for ratings/catering to his audience broadly? I’m sure many just watch the beginning or the funny parts and don’t stay for the journal pieces he brings on or all the questions he asks, especially at the end.

Going to look into Tobert Barnes!

jacquelyn sauriol's avatar

misspell, sorry, its Robert Barnes, VivaBarnsLaw.locals.com, also on The Duran often.

Good point to watch out for. A reminder that we need to do our own research and think for ourselves!

Clearly it is time to bring in the EU mounted police horses to trample the people. Then freeze the bank accounts of organizers, followed by jailing the chief organizers, denying them bail hearings for weeks. Oh, and yes, freeze the Go Fund Me Initiatives and let the donors think they will not get their money back, or worse, have their bank accounts frozen.

Damn bullies and tyrants. Leave us the foxtrot alone. Let us live our lives without your sky-is-falling fearmongering. Get a life. Go home. Hug the kiddies. Putter in your gardens. Take a drive in the countryside, smell the fresh air, appreciate the glory of God’s grandeur, and see people living their lives in relative tranquility. Freedom and liberty are God-given. They are not yours to mete out, or withdraw.

Beautiful, Donna Ruth. I lived through that horror show as well. Just wait ‘til we have an election. I’ll bet we won’t be called sheeple anymore.

When the earth can no longer support it's population, THEN the population will be reduced... Until then, ALL the global nudgers should be rounded up and put away for their own safety and the safety of the world!

Donna Ruth's avatar

“When the earth can no longer support its population …” ??

Oh, but it will. The always available brass ring in this convo is human ingenuity. It is limitless. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Strength builds on strength. In developed countries, despite our many flaws, we have created a miraculous creative and physical supply & demand that puts the world at our fingertips, permitting us greater comfort and tackling poverty worldwide.

Look around us. Beautifully and creatively interdependent so that the boxed crackers we fancy is always at the store of our choice, compliments of hundreds of thousands of people: the farmers, loggers, packaging companies, trucks, machinery, roads, buildings, construction projects, construction tools, the myriad extraction and processing of raw materials … and so much more, not to mention the intellectual property that underprops much of this. And this is just one box of crackers. We are amazing! And, given opportunity, we shall continue to be so.

The US alone is now consuming more than the planet can support; we do not have and cannot know all the numbers, because they remain hidden through burying them inside other nations accounts ledgers. Right now, for example, Yemen is suffering almost entirely because of US! Ditto US! The US has been trying to lure Russia into war inside Ukraine since WW II; Putin finally obliged them, first with BHO/HRC stupid dithering, now with the donald's & more so JB's.

Dana Jumper's avatar

This is a very dangerous thought. What???

PsyoP Awareness's avatar

It must be understood that this network of collaborators that is making all of this possible is a masonic network. Fauci showed this in the hidden hand video where he walked out to start the lying terrorism of strokeme19 plandemic. He hid his right hand inside his jacket. This is satanic fu_king scum and it is worldwide. They are jumping ship like Johnson and Drahgi in Italy because they know they will be gutted like pigs and are planning protection.

Mussolini treatment for all of them

PsyoP Awareness's avatar

These networks have been around for years. The hidden hand in the Russian revolution, WW1, WW2 and every conflict following. They hide behind a shield that protects them. I cannot say who they are because I would most likely be canceled from this or any substack.

Mussolini wasn't hung by the outraged locals by some reports but assassinated by communists in Switzerland and then ferried back to Italy for the story that we all know.

I think The Great Reset might take on an entirely new meaning by the end of this mess.

mrjest@fastmail.com's avatar

It already is greatly resetting the whole US social fabric; most peeps I know are either saddened by the befuddled US 'leadership,' or infuriated. Some even say it in company of others. Even most of the polls bear this out. See Gallup, and the other more high profile ones. Political Wire now says the Ds are in worse shape for the November elections than are the Rs; this could change, of course; but it is refreshing that site says the clear truth about this, their being ordinarily a 'center' (meaning only status quo conservative, not entirely reactionary like NYT or WaPo or CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, NPR, et. al.

Let's hope it's enough. It's do or die. I would love to hear anyone's input as to what WE can do here, either to help them or ourselves.

My thinking is when confronted by bullshit... Do Not Comply and speak your mind.

For me it's No More Masks, isolation or fake vaccines! No More Bullshit!

mrjest@fastmail.com's avatar

We can listen to our neighbors. We can speak candidly and graciously with them. We can look for common values; we can build common ground, we are limited by nothing more so than our lack of imagination. We can liberate our imaginations, our whole being, should we have the courage to study zen, especially if we do this with a small gathering of others who seriously want to learn how to abandon the toxic catastrophe which is official US culture and social "norm."

who brings home the bacon?

Dana Jumper's avatar

I read thru the comments, agree, disagree, argue, think, but then I look at my own life. I'm an American, a small farmer, just a few acres and a few cows, but every farmer around me, whether a planter/produce farmer, a grass-fed beef farmer or just another family farm like me, we all face much higher prices for all our inputs--hay, fertilizer, feed, seed, etc, and the costs are driving us out of business. The biggest will survive, I believe that's the plan, the next level down will go bankrupt, and the smallest of us will be okay, because we don't depend on anyone else. Yet, we can only feed ourselves and a few other close families, neighbors.

This is not going to end well. We can criticize all we want, but someone better start protesting soon, or we'll just be like the Canadians, sad, but compliant.

mrjest@fastmail.com's avatar

Inspiring US citizens to become courageous is sadly mostly a thing of the past. Yet, we can do little things. see my response to the post above by AL.

Donna Ruth's avatar

Thank you for asking that, Anne. Too old with disabilities, alas. But my firecracker dd is. As soon as the youngest of her brood is old enough (homeschooler), I am thinking the gleam is in her eye. In the meantime I try to make a tiny bit of difference with a keyboard. The tribe is in trenches together. Surprising thing to say, but great time to be alive. We were meant to be here at this time, this place in history. What did you do in the war, Mommy and Daddy?

And you?? Any thoughts?

mrjest@fastmail.com's avatar

Am delighted this report is here! We get almost nothing from US media but fabrications even the fabricators cannot believe. I shared this with several friends. Upwards of half a dozen.... Also, I love reading the comments! These folks are all alive and energetic and paying attention!
