Bravo! Well said Celia.

I have been getting strident comments from a few virus disbelievers. Generally, I believe every assertion is subject to being proven or disproven.

But as I sit here today with what I'm sure is a cold, I believe in viruses even though I can't see them.

Please note. That Mark Oshinskie person twice posted the same comment in this article's comment section about “virus disbelievers” — a ridiculous contradiction, where a virus is not something one “believes” in but is rather proven/disproven to exist via evidence. It’s also being used as an ad hominem.

More importantly, note where it has been posted: once in isolation (far down) and once here in an entirely unrelated response to the most popular comment of Richard’s. This means more reads for Mark. But, to repeat, the response here has no relevance to Richard’s comment, so it’s clearly being placed here to push a (false) idea -- that “virus disbelievers,” as he calls them, are implicitly bad (i.e., they harass with "strident" comments) because they write in response to Mark (clearly a virus "believer”) about his presumed claims of virus existence.

Also, in one of Mark’s blog posts, we read: “The various forms of the evolving viruses can’t be eliminated: there are too many hosts, human and animal. Even if it were possible to functionally banish a virus from the US, the virus will remain somewhere, in some form. International travelers could easily re-import it, or one of its variants.”

These are scientifically unproven statements – i.e., “the virus” permanently existing “somewhere, in some form” and its “variants” being reimported via travelers. So be forever on high alert and scared because the virus is permanent! And watch out for tourists and other international travelers!

Sorry, I’m all for polite society and polite and REASONED discourse. But what we see here is a classic tactic of a disinformation agent (here to perpetuate a mainstream (read false) narrative) and he needs to be called out for it.

I was just censored on Instagram for using the word “troll.” 🤣 That’s right-you cannot call out trolls on Instagram anymore. (This of course, does not imply Celia will do the same.)

Peter McCullough MD was right: COVID is a game of chicken. When the most depraved think that they can shut you up with threats, it is of utmost importance to keep posting the truth, and to keep shoveling the mud of propaganda off our brains, as you said so well.

Beautifully stated, Celia. Many thanks on behalf of all of us who appreciate your work!

That you have to write this is so depressing. We all know social media brings out the worst elements in humanity, people hiding behind fragments of names (like fragments of a virus) in order to unload their garbage. It's why though I have plenty to say I haven't wanted to start a Substack site. Stay strong, Celia

Celia and a "honorable and clean two or three dozen+/-" substackers provide a refuge for those who have been battered and abused by just about everything that is wrong and going wronger. I have been censored by the local paper in a letter-to-the-editor if I cite The Real Anthony Fauci, because the editor thinks RFK jr. is crazy.

If there is anyone who should be suffering battered person syndrome its RFK jr. He embodies resilience.

I'm just hoping I can keep it together long enough, resilient enough to see the accountability cycle begin. That should be a setting on a giant washing machine that we could throw the usual suspects in to cleanse the mess we are in.

Until then, we have the Celias and her merry band. Play on.

Dearest Celia: I so appreciate your humanity, your mental clarity, your transparency and the openness of your mind, your willingness to keep going deeper and your laying down the rules of engagement, making it clear that this is a respectful space where we are free to share our views and opinions but we agree to not put each other down or use bullying tactics when we disagree with someone. For me this forum is a microcosm of the new realities we are being called to create. I hold this space as a sacred learning, exploring, sharing, creating playground for grown men and women who want more out of life than the status quo ho hum, paint by numbers pre-fabricated official reality inundating our airwaves. THANK YOU!

I so agree with all you wrote. I love reading your posts because I consider you a voice of reason in a world filled with demonic madness. The information and thoughts you share, along with seeing others here who appreciate your work and your taking a stand for reason encourage me to hang on with hopes of sanity having a turn at widespread acceptance. Keep up the great work. Your presence is sooooooo appreciated!

n our local paper- so-called the 'Marin' Independent Journal-- nothing independent about it-- the comment section for online articles is now controlled by a corporation- based in Canada- and you have to go through google- and you can no longer even edit your comments-

in this mornings' edition- the comment option has been completely deleted- so something is going on here- they are really tightening the grip on everything-

People like that already have a forum. It’s called Twitter, and please excuse the admitted snobbery, but I want the trash to remain there. I have been very impressed with the level of discourse on Substack and want it to stay that way. Thank You

That anyone would feel that is an ok or appropriate thing to do still blows my mind. Well said, Celia - it's just a bummer that you even have to say it. I have to say I was thrilled to find you again. Back during the AIDS days it was reading the works of you and Neenyah Ostrom (New York Native) that woke me up. I want to thank you for that and for continuing to bring your insight.

So when I was an aspiring academic philosopher 50 years ago (no, it didn't happen), there was paper by Edmund Gettier entitled "Is justified true belief knowledge?". (Short answer: no). The point is, knowledge is hard to come by. The statement "there are no viruses" is not provable as one can never prove a negative. Same for unicorns. The statement "There are no scientifically proven viruses" is, however, true, as no virus has ever been isolated/identified under the accepted principles of science. Yet we have received a tsunami of "proofs" from "experts" that the virus has been isolated. Some of these guys (like Drosten) know it's fraud, but the majority believe their own bullshit. And it's the same for much of science. Marcia Angell, the editor for two decades of the NEJM, openly wrote that the majority of what she saw was either fraudulent or otherwise bogus. Science was supposed to be what saved us from the fantasies of religion, only to create its own swamp of charlatans and opportunists (Anthony Fauci, e.g., but the list is very long) by and large (there are, of course, exceptions). So as curious lay people, we do what we can, as the world is basically run by the criminally malicious. All of which leaves no room for insults and other forms of ad hominem attacks. These are not arguments, justified or otherwise, and create no beliefs, justified or otherwise. Just more malice.

Bravissimo Celia…I guessed I missed the comments to which you speak about (I get behind on my emails too and I’m not writing on Substack!) Anyway thank you for your work. You were one of the first people I subscribed to (I found you through Mark Crispín Miller) and have so appreciated your approach to what you write here. Much love, stay strong and standing in your truth! 💓🙏🏼 PS There’s more of us than those nasty and inappropriate commenter types!

PSS: I loved your ‘Advent Calendar’ posts over the Holidays! 💓🙏🏼
