Roger, we share a birthday though I will be turning 65 on April 7. Age of 'retirement', as if every human being has a precise timeline when s/he should be put out to pasture. In other words, made irrelevant.

My dear, from someone who has survived cancer (twice - without chemo/radiation, collisions, many catastrophic setbacks and trauma), I can confidently say that life begins again (and again, and again) when you decide it does. Or not.

The sad thing is that we don't learn this in adolescence. And yet, I've still had a remarkably interesting life with few regrets. It's a cliche that people on their deathbeds say they should have followed their heart and worried less about what others think. I think it's the one universal truth that we should all live by.

Happy early birthday fellow Aries!.

🫂😊💗🍻💃🎉🎁🎂

As they say, it's the first day of the rest of your life. Rejoice in your aliveness and make the most of it!

There is a certain weird freedom in recognizing the lies are everywhere and one has to make deliberate, thoughtful choices about how to live. Thank you for writing!

Coronal Whole

You know, the way the black cat knows the sun,

perched as she now is on a truck tire leaned into

the little barn's brown south wall, (eaves peeing

last night's skiff), and preening- in her day's worth

of vitamin D, she'll soon enough be the shadow

in your shadow eclipsing your seasonal turning

or weeding or whatever she catches you

in the middle of with a flaring binary stare

that melts you, even as the first true shirtless heat

of spring goads you to not waste basking time,

even to drink, but keep on checking off tasks

while starting new ones with war- effort fervor,

till you reach down as she knows you eventually will,

like the good brother she expects you to be,

scoop her out of the line of fire, curry her molting

coat with a dirt-caked claw in the cool penumbra

of the plums, finally take that long drink and just sit there

sunstruck by how cyclic in its transience all this is.

If you’re struggling with lack––you become the parental figure or the friend you wished but never had to fill that deficit you feel. Higher developmental aspects of yourself demand that of your current self.

Your subconscious mind and your spirit really don’t know the difference between you loving yourself or someone else loving you––you just need that experience of love and healing. Connections of attune-ment to Masters such as Krishna, Buddha, Christ consciousness who formed stepping stones to show the Way. These impulses constantly stream into the physical world like the warming luminescence of Spring.

“Irony slug fest” would make a great slogan on a tshirt or ? with a particular date on it, maybe 1984 😉. Ray Bradbury’s quote came to mind, “Just write every day of your life. Read intensely. Then see what happens. Most of my friends who are put on that diet have very pleasant careers.”

Thanks Celia and Agent Roger. Thoroughly enjoyed this ~ inspiring piece of writing.

Any child that grows up in an atmosphere of fakery, lies, deception means they are told not to even try to make sense of the world. That can make a person unhinged if not corrected. It can make the child's whole reality crazy making, disjointed with a wrench in all the divine systems until corrected.
