The Near Death Experience Of Ms. Maria Kohr
Reflections On Kindness As Heaven's Treasure; What is The Earth Body?
In my hotel Granada room, managing a wave of anxiety, it seemed to me an angel tossed this video to me.
I began to listen; It was not easy. But I share it because I feel deeply that what she says is “true.”
Well, of course it’s “true.” It’s more important than anything else we may all be
thinking about right now—this was my feeling. My own capacity to be loving
and forgiving is sometimes better, sometimes worse.
Usually leaning toward worse.
The great news is we are still alive and we can change our ways, at any given moment.
We can still store up treasure in heaven. We can still forgive. We can still sacrifice without any calculations. Be kinder and milder in
almost every situation.
Meat or No Meat?
This testimony brought out a conflict for me I think I may
have at long last resolved: As somebody with a very serious, long, harrowing
history of what we call “depression” and what we call chronic fatigue, I came to believe a lack of amino acids, and fatty acids, and B-12, would send me back there, to that pit. I was terrified of that.
One orthomolecular depression clinic I went to in 2013 in Minnesota, to seek relief through diet— the director said she can not cure vegans of depression and didn’t accept them. “I can’t get B-12 into them,” she said. And we had one suicide while I was there. The director’s son had committed suicide. These are very real challenges. Meat eaters are not just selfish people.
Hence, for years, tackling this depression monster with diet change
and nutrition primarily, I championed the unfortunate necessity of eating meat, for people such as myself.
I felt: Morally, and spiritually, vegans are right, but
bio-chemically, I can’t afford it.
Now, after listening to this woman, I feel that it is more important that I
go vegan, even if my mental health and or health suffers. Why?
Because.
There is no cow out there whose depression is being helped by eating my children, or me, or my cousins, or friends.
In other words:
So what? So what if I don’t do as well? Then I won’t do as well.
I still believe we are designed as carnivores and can’t square this mystery.
Mikhaela Peterson’s work and interviews, you will realize—yes—meat (in countless documented cases, along with 100% elimination of carbs) cures depression, psychosis, auto-immune diseases, many forms of malnutrition.
This podcast is the best demonstration I know, of that—if you want to know what that position… even is.
But Maria’s video made me unable to “care,” as much as I once did.
So be it. I might not be the paragon of mental health I am now.
(Sarcasm intended.)
I’m just getting more interested in the next station, the next place we are going.
Please know that I’m not urging anybody to do anything differently; I’m just
addressing it, since it forms a core theme in her testimony. I do believe meat eating can be done without cruelty, as in the Bible. And yes, Jesus ate fish.
We will have no arguments here about this. That’s precisely Maria Kohr’s point. Being a vegan and judging people is not what counts on the other side.
Here’s her testimony:
PS. Have a look at the comments. Very interesting.
How beautifully this woman describes her spiritual experience. The "Law of Love" is the essential message that I received from her story. How do we regard the thoughts and beliefs of others, how do we respond to them? How difficult it is to remain in consciousness when interacting with earthly experiences! How can we control our negative emotions? We must hesitate before reacting, because our reaction will have an effect on others as well as on our soul's condition! What will we contribute in our earthly life and the lives of others when we remain in conscious love or remain in unforgiveness, and harmful actions? My, so much to be learned from this dear lady's witness!
Thanks for the video. Celia, ive been vegan for 21 years and am very healthy, on no meds, and am 75! I did it for the animals but am so grateful for the health benefits. Lots of great research into the health benefits have been conducted. The best is the China Study. Dr. Greger's site Nutritionfacts.org lists some good research about depression and the healing power of a plant based diet.
