Busy little bots scour the internet in order to stamp out any empathy or pity. This is done to an astonishing degree. Hard to disregard, but still, try to disregard.
"I’m gonna let everybody think whatever they want." They already do...
Those who are the rudest and loudest are silencing other views with these tantrums.
You're not here to convince or change everyone's opinion but inform facts and add your own opinion. You can't make everyone happy and are allowed to believe what you want without being bullied.
IDK about the comments since I didn't read them.
You certainly can't manage them all.
Maybe try only allowing paid subscribers to comment on certain pieces that get bombarded with bots, etc. Prewarn us so we all know ahead. Would that maybe work?
Palestinian Olive Farms Under Siege by Israeli forces along the West Bank
"Palestinian Olive Farms Under Siege by Israeli forces along the West Bank This objective aligns with a stated plan by Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet to gradually depopulate the West Bank of its native inhabitants and expand the settlement project."
I first noticed the paid and relentless bot thing years ago, when Hillary was running for the nom and then the prez. Back then, the automatic responses to criticism were hilariously cut and pasted. So easy to google. And there would be cut and pasted rebuttals consisting entirely of what we called "blue linkies". Nowadays, lots more paid/automatic bot action. as you point out. Reddit actually has automatic bot responses that are fun to pretend-spar with, I believe. A guilty pleasure is refusing to take bot-bait until the responses become foamed-mouth cursing and ad hominems. Lots of that from jab-pushers during Covid. Little authoritarians; it was, in a way, entertaining. Seeing as how all the pushback was automatic and was immune because it was sanctioned by the government or the poster actually was being paid or was indeed a thwarted authoritarian. Criticism of Bill Gates was usually countered with exaggeration. Mention Bill's desire to be able to wave a wand over a vax and see if you were allowed to enter a store or a bus or whatever was turned into No, Bill Gates does not want to control people from outer space. Nowadays, of course, Gates has bought so much influence he likely does not bother to notice.
Those high-priced headliners come and go, I presume. I was referring to the regular-job of being a human internet troll for hire, running a lot of robo-trolls that are mostly-autonomous AI "voices", which is how it is done these days, I read...
I want to say that I know you come from a heart-centered place and despite the obstacles encountered in this impossible mire (that is nonetheless undoing) you are wonderful. Your integrity comes through. Your humanity comes through. Thank you.
Celia, stand strong! I would love for you to interview Dr. Naomi Wolf. You are both brilliant communicators and extremely important voices for our times. You both live and express from your hearts with great caring and compassion. Our world needs you both. You are both amazing examples of what seeking truth AND being respectful of different points of view looks like. Don’t let those commenters influenced by dark forces blanket over your light, your spirit, your forces of love. Let yourself recharge and then shine your light ever more brightly! Sending love your way. 💞💞💞
Thank you Sophia. I happened to run into Naomi at a Substack event recently and I asked her and she graciously agreed. I don't feel knowledgeable enough to debate Israel/Palestine but I have many things I'd love to talk to her about. I think I'm going to leave Palestine/Israel to those who have studied it for years and years. And there are many such voices around.
How wonderful, Celia! I was thinking that the two of you would just be in conversation rather than any sort of debate and it sounds like you already have many things you would love to talk with her about so lucky us! I look forward to seeing the livestream or video of the two of you conversing together in the brilliant ways you each do! Thank you.
I'm really sorry you had that experience, Celia, and I am even sorrier that it has become so difficult for people to have a civil discussion about this topic. This is the nature of dehumanizing propaganda as I discussed on the piece I wrote following an extensive exchange with an Israeli citizen:
You mentioned bridging the divide, Celia. I just happen to have attended an excellent community-building presentation on that very topic last night. It was presented by Marla Estes, founder of Building Bridgers (https://www.buildingbridgers.com), and she covered topics such as:
• The Power of Humility
• Beyond Black-and-White Thinking
• Unlearning & Rethinking
• Rewriting the Story of “Us vs. Them”
• Media Literacy for Bridge-Building
• Viewpoint Diversity as a Strength
Marla is offering this same presentation on Zoom for anyone interested in participating. I think you would especially appreciate it since it offers tools on how to have difficult conversations about controversial topics.
The Zoom presentation will take place this Wednesday, 10/29/25, @ 6:30 pm PST. People can find details at the Events page:
Anna this sounds fabulous. I live in Los Angeles. Perhaps there is something like this here in town I can attend? Thanks for your post. Dana goldcoins101@yahoo.com
I attended one of Marla Estes Bridgers events in Medford about 2 years ago. One of the ground rules, as I recall was no politics and I get that. However, we live in a time where everything is politicized. Science is politicized.
My goal with everything is to get as close to the truth as possible and live to tell. Is that asking too much? The live to tell or the truth part?
Most of my good friends believe the "narratives" such as "Sharp as tack, safe and effective, the most secure fair election ever, Hunter lap top Russian disinformation, Mayorkas" our borders are secure," and dozens of others. My point: to move forward, doesn't the truth deserve prime time?
How do you get past the No-Kings protest, if you are wearing a "Make America Healthy Again" hat and the narrative the protesters have bought into --MAHA = Kennedy= anti-science conspiracy theorist = Trump = Hitler?
Celia, you do your best with the truth you got. I believe Oct. 13th was allowed to happen. Furthermore, as a Jew, Jews can do some really bad things and its sickens me.
My strongest belief on Judaism comes from "Fiddler on the Roof" when Tevye speaks to God, "Next time can you choose someone else". Precisely.
Wow, what a small world! And yes, Marla explained at the beginning that she used to do community discussions on political topics, and they wound up getting so heated, it defeated the purpose.
She finds it is more useful to focus on the tools so people can absorb the principles without feeling threatened. For example, in the bridging movement, they use terms like "plaids" and "checkers" to refer to different groups so they don't carry any inflammatory baggage.
Once the participants have a grasp on the concepts and have worked on their own internal triggers and counterproductive habits, they will be in a better position to deploy bridging tools in real-life situations.
As I see it, what shapes our beliefs, informs our opinions are narratives. If one subscribes to the PBS, NPR, NYT narratives on the issues which divide this country--the jabs, or the trustworthiness of the CDC or Peter Marks integrity, election integrity, etc. and one is "certain" the absolute rightness of that belief, then a conversation with someone challenging that belief is nearly impossible.
Once the issues are politicized as so many are, then whats left of consequence to talk about? The weather? My God, it's never been this hot before in recorded history; it must be anthropogenic climate change. If one believes an equally valid alternative narrative, then scientific consensus is whipped out as club and the pejorative anti-science will eventually follow.
Don't think boys should be in girls sports--you hate trans kids.
Looking for common ground is nearly impossible. I see my friends as kind, good- hearted people, but terribly misinformed to which the legacy media is responsible.
How we get passed that, I do not see Marla's approach will bear the fruit this country needs. But, I wish her the best.
I think you would be surprised by how much headway you can make by thoughtfully listening rather than trying to persuade. Before I even knew about Marla or her work, I was putting these principles into practice when reconnecting with some old friends, many of whom hold some of the views you noted above. By simply listening to their concerns; validating their underlying emotions (which ultimately are being weaponized by propagandists); asking them questions that got them thinking about issues like corruption; and presenting alternative views they have not been exposed to, I have had some amazingly deep and transformative conversations and have gotten to witness the scales falling from their eyes as I spoke.
Two of them were so ready to hear the truth, I even got into topics like depopulation, and it made complete sense to them. One of them wants to hold a dinner with some other friends so they can ask me questions and try to make sense of all the nonsense they've subconsciously sensed are lies but are only now coming to understand consciously. It is enormously rewarding to watch them waking up in real-time and desperately wanting to learn more.
Actually, MAA, I do a lot listening, just so I know where exactly, they are coming. So many have been deranged by Trump that the litany of grievances, accusations, assertions--beliefs--that's all I do is listen. At some point I realize I don't have the energy when I sense they are certain they are right, usually just by asking one or two thoughtful questions.
I am glad to hear, you have been able to bridge with friends. Keep doing what appears to be working.
That's great to hear, Michael, and thank you. I, too, try to gauge their level of open-mindedness before presenting an alternative viewpoint. Often, I find it works best to acknowledge their concerns and then widen their perspective to factor in other potential causes and perpetrators. Many have lost trust in the media, so they are open to considering some of their concerns may have been manufactured by propagandists to corral the public toward a particular behavior change/outcome. It is striking how the simple formula of Problem–Reaction–Solution (one reason I referenced that in my first essay in 2021: https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/a-primer-for-the-propagandized) can help open people's eyes—when they are ready, of course.
The response to the posts you mention are symptomatic of society as a whole. For some reason there are people now that can no longer tolerate ideas that differ from their own and will fight and argue thier case as if they had a devine right to the truth. It's not just the topic of this particular war that attracts such behavior. It's widespread now. Gone are the days of fair debate for these people. They are right, their opinions are the correct ones and everyone who disagrees is evil. They fail to see irony in their conduct. And, I have no doubt, if the 'debate' had not been online, it would have turned physically aggressive.
Jane, I'm reminded of the brief and lighthearted video of Natasha Leggero: American comedian and actress: The Lost Art of Critical Thinking. #comedy #repost
I've got family on both sides of whichever line is painted today, you turn on your telling you a lying vision machine and it will tell you who to dislike, to put it midly, today! If that is the way people want to live their lives, so be it. I find this topic to be like holding a hand 'pome' granate, you know what I mean as I don't want the algos to go haywire, with the pin pulled, it is absolutely seemingly an impossibility to just 'talk'. Yes it is the same mentality as all the other ops, big or small, they create their opposition way before they create the 'issue' to which we have to 'react' for us to then be served up some insane pre concocted dumb solution. What else can you expect from a duheath cult? It spirals downwards and takes all on board with it, if you let it. Hang onto your humanity for dear life sisteres and brothers, the world is not the earth, like General Smedley Butler's title of his book says : War is a racket! It cares not who or what perishes, I'd add, it's just about oiling the machine and its preprogrammed ideology, Grüß Gott.
Dear Celia, perhaps you know of Professor Roy Casagranda aka Dr. Roy? His knowledge about Palestine is probably better than anyone else and his memory is astounding. His lectures at Austin Community College and furthermore his most recent talks are the best I have ever heard. Tell the crude and rude commenters to watch and listen to both talks below. Beginning around 20 years ago I was doing installation of tech education equipment for decades in dozens of countries. I learned tons and 95% of that never made the news.
Everyone here will, I am sure, admire your continuing courage to add the images of the injured children which in a very real sense, are far better than a hundred thousand words. It would be nice if Naomi addresses the Palestine genocide with the same scientific rigor she addresses Pfizer's attack on humanity. Unfortunately, her silence speaks volumes.
Well, let's slow it down a bit. She has objected, over many years, in many forums and ways. Now she is seeing, (which I also see) the rise of the Neo-Marxist militant new "left" that is Trojan horsed through Palestine support. I see all of it as NWO productions. That's where I conclude differently from Naomi. I don't see "anti-Semitism" in recent years as organic, but rather, factory produced. One factory. Funding and fomenting two "sides."
Divide and Rule; Divide and Conquer; Divide and Kill; Wash Rinse Repeat. Personally, I think your work is amazing. Thank for being there.
Busy little bots scour the internet in order to stamp out any empathy or pity. This is done to an astonishing degree. Hard to disregard, but still, try to disregard.

Massive funding increase in the Israeli budget for hasbara workers and semi-autonomous bots this year...

So far I have not been worthy of Israeli hasbara program attention.

“But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate, then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all
People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt, hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
Or would you turn the other cheek?
Father, Father, Father, help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love?”
