Your comments are always heartfelt and thought provoking. A constant source of reflection and inspiration. Thank you so much for that. A word of caution, stay away from Ouija boards altogether.

Thank you Celia for being a warrior for truth, peace and freedom. Yes the best part of living in an apocalyptic world is the beautiful souls you meet in the very mist of the battle. You are indeed one of them. So glad to have met you and many others here. The greatest hope that we have is one another.

Cheers!!!

Well said Jeff.

I walked away from reading the comments for a few moments and it dawned on me the connection one can make with kindred souls who seem to attract one another . I personally feel a deeper connection with the substack army than some of the "good people" in my own family.

Thank you, Celia. Let's walk with God. Because that's what He wants. What Father wishes sadness and despair for his children? We have reasons for joy. The night sky...the sunrise. Joy will return.

I claimed 2023 forJoy! Perhaps it is the news that our daughter is gestating our grandbaby. Perhaps it is the deep feeling of having had entirely ENOUGH of the past 2years, but I feel I need to shed the miasm of this situation in which we find ourselves. So I have chosen joy to be the experience for this year.

Thank you for this joy-filled cup of kindness, Celia. I echo your sentiments about the wondrousness of Substack, which I consider a kan-kan, to use Vonnegut’s Bokonist vocabulary as I discussed in “Letter to My Karass” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-my-karass) a while back. A kan-kan is defined as the instrument that brings us together 🙌

“How does one do this, when all the evidence argues for more tyranny and awfulness to come? Just little moment, acts, and choices.”

Exactly, Celia. For me, that took the form of publishing this poem today:

• “Mistakes Were NOT Made: An Anthem for Justice” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/mistakes-were-not-made-an-anthem)

It seems to have deeply resonated with people judging from the responses thus far, so hopefully it will bring others some joy and comfort seeing so much captured in one small space.

Your poem reminds me of one of mine, written in 2016. The only difference being that I provide the clues to a cure for what ails us:

Celia I believe you are not wrong in your observations about the optimism in the ether.

One must only remember that your thoughts are guiding your future and if enough of us souls will stay in love and harmony together we'll turn the Titanic around. We must pray, connect deep within with God, for what we want the future to bring. 'Ask and you shall receive'. The preceding is not a mere fairy tale.

How does one create joy? Raising one's frequency by maintaining a positive intent, observing (but not investing in) the chaos and reciting positive mantras? Listening to appropriate music, which is a form of mind kontrol? Spending time in the healing energy of old churches and other religious spaces?

What do others here do, please?

Be in nature. Listen to the trees. Watch the sun on the water. Stay out at night and look at the stars. I just look at God's grace on earth.

I love that description.

I also find by going deep within, nature is not always available, and connect with my Maker

I find an overwhelming peace and joy that seems to transcend my day.

For myself, the key is remaining in His presence. I begin my day with Sarah Young's daily devotional: "Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence". She has wonderful insights that help me keep on track! Also, I then spend time reading Scriptures...just finished the Gospel of John. Going deep is essential!

Ashley Davis is a good friend of mine- what a surprise to see you post one of her songs. You would probably really like her other music.

She is? How wonderful. I will be listening to her in 2023, only found her two nights ago, while reviewing renditions of Auld Lang Syne, for you all, wondering which was the right one. Two friends also voted and it was between Irish Rovers and the Ashley Davis version and both voted for Ashley hands down.
