When I look at this photo and see his expression, I dont even have to read his words. Its all there. Words are only words, they are an abstraction. I dont trust words anymoore. I need to feel the image to believe.

I read that Boris Pasternak's novel, "Doktor Zhivago" gave Solzhenitsyn the courage to offer his writings for publication...a risk at the time in the Soviet Union.
