OCD?... I suggest that, unlike my kids 25 and 29 who know theres something wrong but avoid admitting it, and generate excuses for what they know to be wrong ( Denial is one diagnosis you could make), the application of a label for your dedicated behaviour is a typical human trait. Let’s say you’ve fallen into a deep hole, your life expectancy plummeted. Your obsession with escaping is severe. 24/7. Constant. You sleep, if at all, from sheer exhaustion. Until you solve the conundrum.

Its OCD-like, of course. Our current predicament in north america, that is, if you care about the present and future, is much like being trapped below ground level.

Let’s be careful to forgive those who care so much they become obsessed. It sure beats apathy. Then one can apply principles of balance, and avoid letting TPTB ruin one’s life. Avoid letting them win. Starting now.

Remember why you care so much. What timeless beautiful principles fuel you into the night. You care. Why? It came from somewhere. And in that timeless divine source you will find the kind of peace the evil globalists and their mindlessly converted are desperately jealous of.

Remember too that what happens here on terra firma , in this material world, devoid as it is of true meaning, simply doesn’t matter in the universal scheme of things. The Big Picture. This you know; just remind yourself, take a walk and look at the December clouds. Its sunny above them. Always. 🙏🏽

Sunny above the clouds. I noticed that when I was in my 20s, living in So Cal and taking off in a plane during June gloom. I remarked about it to my family and they laughed at me. :) :) Good times.

Celia, YES, yes, yes. I don't know if it's 5g or wifi or bluetooth or something else but getting away from computers is a bigger problem now than ever before. Yes, I care. Yes, I want to figure out these PROBLEMS we have. But seriously. Walk away. WALK AWAY. And yet. Here I am AGAIN. Reading.

Talked to friends and relatives (vaxed and not, blue and red, same thing). One friend said he is living Groundhog's Day movie. Same. Same. Same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GncQtURdcE4

The one activity my wife and I had over the last three years that kept us. "sane, in shape, down regulated our nervous systems," was looking for a weekly dance. If not available, we would take our boom box down to the promenade and salsa on the pavement. When we finally moved in September to retire on Vancouver Island, as we walked in our quaint new village, we were stopped occasionally on the street by people who greeted us, saying: "You guys are the dancers." Life is worthwhile if you dance.

Grasshopper and Rod, a month and half ago, first time ever, I joined a Broadway Dance for Boomers. I love it, love it. "We were a dancing people, always, Americans."

Thank you Celia! Rock, Rock, Rock around the clock.

Tried to watch video. Got a "This video contains content from Demonic Music. It is not available in your country". Which is France. Macron and his gang have been busy blocking all sorts of stuff on the net. Free Speech is NOT guaranteed by law in France. It never has been. (imagine a frown face here)

Demon music?? What the hell? This video is Rock Around the Clock! There is no demonic anything in it. It's pure.

I eventurally found the video on Odysee. As I did not know what the post was referring to until that time. After that, I thought that I would do a real quick internet search. According to what I found, the artist had a dark past of domestic violence, drugs alcohol etc. The usual. There were also some references to his selling his soul to the devil or something like that, along with other singers doing the same. I don't know where those claims came from. I decided that it was not worth the time. So I stopped. But perhaps that is why the video got tagged...or not. Anyway, just another day in Clown World!

Love this song. These great days carry nostalgia in sound, visuals, both in the music itself and the sound of the instruments, the recording imperfections and all. Everything today is tech advanced , but misses a home cooked feel and smell.

It's almost impossible to separate a nostalgia element with things loved from the past.

I guess the new kids of today will create their own kind of Nostalgia.

"Hey Quark, remember the days when Telomere and I met you and gloop at the diode concert" ?

Those atoms were so entangled

SWEDEN labels this "demon music?" Can you tell me exactly what it says in Swedish? I am maybe not listening to it the way I ought to be. I reject all works of the devil. I reject most of the rock music I was reared on. But I think of this as a piece of great, snare drum driven, swing music. And I like how they were all dressed so nice, and such great musicians.

There is no demon anything in that video. It seems they simply don't want anyone watching things that are pure and without sexual filth built into the music.

Censorship are everywhere. You know that EU are working full time to take away free speech. Sweden is in cahoots with the evil in this world.

Celia, you can’t go wrong with Rock Around the Clock, but if you want a Christmas dance song, try this one from Elton John. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dcwOVtHdI4A

Seriously? What is going in Europe that it would label this type of pure video demon music? It's a total reversal.

I remember in the 1950's when Rock and Roll was in its infancy that many in North America were calling this music, music of the Devil. I don't know if that was what persuaded me to hate R & R music, but I'm glad that now I have an appreciation for it and most other genres as well.
