We, too, believed those glorious myths about that place called America - land of milk and honey, where "everyone was equal" no matter your social background, and you could succeed and achieve that wonderful American dream by dint of hard, honest work - which is why so many have wanted to immigrate here. They all come from places run by people unashamed of their blatant corruption, nepotism, and living in a quasi-feudalistic society that concentrated power and wealth in the hands of the same few people. America? There, "everyone could grow up to be president!" Everyone has a nice house and garden and television and washing machine and washer/dryer, and all the modern conveniences you could think of.

I'll play the part of malcontent anti-new age, anti-woke devil's advocate for the moment: I appreciate Trow's journalistic flair and his POV. I resonate with what he sees as distraction factors in the News narrative, and the obvious rabbit holes that prompt further examination. The popular narratives have been shaped via the Langley group and the MIC for as long as I've been alive. Which means (to me at least) that we live in a simulation... a media matrix induced hallucination. The Obama/Sinclair affair was never anything other than a diversion(next scapegoat in line) from the deep state's diabolical conspiracy to deceive and hoodwink the American people. The prize? ...Power, unlimited funding, the creation of a secret space program?...all of the above. Re: The 9-11-Iraq war? ...the Bush and Bin Laden families were best friends. Oil and Billions at stake. Clampdowns? ...In alignment with the Kissinger New World Agenda ("Lockstep"). In effect--the 80's wasn't extraordinary. We've been on this course for at least the last hundred years. Keeping in mind that William Randolph Hearst played his part in stoking the creation of the Spanish-American war in 1898. I call this 'Oligarch playbook.' War is a racket. The Rockefellers became wealthier and more powerful. The sex scandals of any period are indicative of blackmail attempts, and public distraction mechanisms. The trouble with the New Yorker and all the other publications owned by the usual suspects is that the 'control of an acceptable narrative' renders the Fourth Estate as a nostalgic ghost. Personally I find more truth in New Yorker cartoons, and still appreciate their snazzy front covers. The Matrix addicts need a 12-step program. Where do I sign up?

The context of contexts was always seen by the ancients as the divine that, or who, was above all else, very much including us.
