I was vegan for three years because I thought “it was the right thing to do.” Then I saw Dr. Cowan make the statement that humans have been eating meat forever so we can’t say meat is the reason for all the chronic conditions. This simple statement blew my mind and I’ve been eating meat ever since.

I’ve been meaning to write an article about veganism and how it appears honest and noble, but ultimately, humans have always always needed meat.

I didn’t eat meat for over twenty years. Then my daughter made Beef Wellington for a holiday meal. I changed almost immediately.

Perhaps this revelation of healing is one of the reasons the evil doers are trying to destroy the beef industry and have us eating insects instead. We will be told it is a good replacement, better than meat plus saving the world and all that.

The medical industrial complex wants us sick and sicker. I don't think they realized how the internet would expose everything, good and bad alike...but how could that be? Feels like a merry-go-round.

I am an omnivore. However, I stay away from poultry and pork unless I buy it at a farm stand, because of what they are fed.

I agree with Joe Mercola that the main culprit is omega-6 LINOLEIC ACID, which is in ALL processed foods: https://takecontrol.substack.com/p/linoleic-acid

Linoleic or linolenic? I always confused those two names, it's just one letter of difference.

Excellent question!

"Not to be confused with linolenic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, lipoic acid, or linolelaidic acid"

I don’t usually comment until I’ve read or watched the post, but often when I wait everyone has moved on to the next post and I miss out. I definitely am going to watch this later though.

Thanks for posting on the topic of food, yes, so important. I have the viewpoint that “different things work for different people at different times” and that we all have our own journey of evolution. I appreciate that you’re real Celia—you take risks and put yourself on the line and writing isn’t just a business for you.

I’ve been exploring and trying different food approaches for a long time. I was thrust onto the path when, at 16 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Then, they still called it adult-onset diabetes but stopped when so many children and teenagers were getting it. The diabetes did lift after 6 months or so by changing my diet…that’s a long story. Blood sugar regulation is my weakness though and approx 10 years ago I spiraled back into pre diabetes.

Eventually, a couple of years ago I went Keto. It worked and I enjoyed it for over a year…until my body started rejecting it. It’s a bit long to go into here but apart from not liking the diet anymore and fatigue had set in. Also, I was getting sick from touching vaxxed (and sometimes unvaxxed) people (work-related). Ivermectin would nip it in the bud but I was concerned about my immune system so I decided to try Dr. Robert O. Young’s alkaline approach (which is largely vegetarian).

I started that about a year and a half ago. I got my energy back and stopped getting sick, even the 2 or so colds per year I used to get. It’s been working for me but I’m not evangelizing. It’s a bit tough to follow and I’m still am looking for tweaks to make it easier and more enjoyable.

In any case I love your openness and the non-judgmental atmosphere here and on the Zooms. I respect everyone’s choices. Judging people on what they’re eating would seem extremely silly. Everyone’s just trying to find what works for them.

Maybe I’ll write more but now I have to do my ice bath—I was doing them in 2018-2019 but stopped. Since the madness that upset all our lives set in, I haven’t felt like it. But I love them, I even went to Iceland to study with Wim Hof. You’ve mentioned that you do them too. Thanks, because you made me think about them. Ice baths are so exhilarating—there’s nothing like them.

More later…

Thankfully I have not suffered from chronic mental health or health issues. I have been eating meat since I was able to eat food over 70 years ago. I never stopped eating red meat…may have lessened my in take bit, here and there, but still eat it…and the more fat on the meat the better! (After all my father was in the ‘beef industry’ and raised pasture cattle!) My younger brother is now raising a small herd of ‘grass fed/hormone free’ beef cattle on his small ranch in SoCA. I look forward to eating some of it.

Something I have observed in people who chose the vegan diet. And this observation is mostly having to do with women, as none of the men in my life are vegan. A lot of these woman who are eating a vegan diet, have had an ‘eating disorder’, whether it be anorexia, bulimia, or even overeating. One of the psychological factors of these ‘eating disorders’ is ‘control’. Too much or too little self-control in their food intake. I feel that choosing this type of ‘diet’, that is so limited and narrow (nutritionally and otherwise) is their way of managing their ‘disorder’, to keep it ‘under control’. I have no ‘science’ to back this up, it’s purely an observational/intuitive thing on my part that had brought me to these conclusions.

I totally believe you. Let's make sure the lesson is not "Everyone needs meat."

Rather, the lesson is "Listen to your body. Experiment. Find a diet that works for you, individually."

(I've been a vegetarian for 51 years, and I never looked back. It's right for me. I've tried vegan diets from time to time, and I'm unsatisfied. I've tried low-fat diets and that really gets me in trouble. 25 years ago, I eliminated grains and I think this is better, but the difference is subtle. )

What works for me is different from what works for Valerie and you are seeking what works for you.

It was a hard right turn when I made the decision to eat red meat just a few months ago. I won't bore you with my story here but I will say the healing that occurs is no joke. In this short period of eating red meat/fat the external changes are easily evident (my gray streaks are returning to my natural hair color). That I didn't expect... can you imagine what is healing on the inside? The whole story https://banjocatcreative.com/meat-lies-and-cardiogate/ Celia xox

It's fascinating how dumb some doctors can be!

Robert Whitaker tells in his book the story of how people used to be tortured in the past, and few "doctors" made the connection: "aha! it's the torture and malnutrition that causes their diseases and suffering!"

But in the late 20th and early 21st century, it is people who torture themselves, instead of doctors and nurses anf janitors and other personnel. And the cure is the same: stop punishing your body, drop the ideologies, eat meat.

It seems that doctors only learn when they close their books and the computer, and look at direct reality. They look like normal humans when they stop being political and corporate.

I was a vegetarian with occasional eggs and fish for maybe six years. The mood swings were scary when I got hangry. I finally figured out that I had to change my diet. I am an omnivore but I eat animal products daily without fail. It has made a huge difference in my life. No more crazy mood swings. I would go carnivore but I would never ever consider vegan.

Sheesh. Not another person who hasn't got the message. Our illustrious leaders have declared meat consumption is bad for the environment so only the Aristocracy will be allowed to eat it. Do as I say, not as I do, is your command. Be good little sheeple and do what you are told.

Maybe there is no one-size-fits-all. I went through a few years of not eating so much meat but not really eating more veggies and fruits either. I am back to eating more meat and little veggies, at least not every day. Cutting back on supplements and using herbs. No particular at-the-moment health issues. But at 74, I guess to live even this long has been by crook and hook. For sure, I am avoiding all big pharma drugs of any kind. That is a big help, I believe.

I then look at my father who will be 97 in a few weeks and he has done nothing special for warranting a long life. He still lives on his own and can get around with maybe using only a cane sometimes. He will finally stop driving next month. He has a few health issues, but nothing extreme. I don't know, maybe its all hit and miss with hoping you get a few more hits than misses.

Maybe there is no right thing to do to live longer, but a lot of things to not do.

The term "mental illness" must also go. It seems that many of the allegedly mentally ill are fully healed by carnivore.

That said, some undoubtedly have some psychological issues that they still need to contend with. But they were never able to overcome them while their brain was not operating properly.

Dr. Thomas Szasz, noted libertarian psychiatrist, wrote a book called "The Myth of Mental Illness". He was partially right, in that (at least) much of so-called mental illness, as construed today, is a myth. But he was wrong to attribute such illness to character flaws. (At least) much of "mental illness" is in fact physical illness masquerading as mental illness. He said that there were no objective measurements associated with mental illness and that may have been the case at the time of his writing, in the 60's. Though by now it is abundantly clear that there are significant physical indicators associated with these issues, at least much of the time.

I get all our meats from farmers who raise them grass fed (beef, chickens, hogs, and lamb) we raise our own chickens for eggs, get raw milk from organic grass fed Jersey cows, and the food is incredible and not injected with all the CAFO crap! I can’t imagine ever not eating meat. So we MUST fight the powers that be who are trying to destroy our quality foods. This bird flu hoax is to take out our food sources and us!

It's well known that the word psyche means "butterfly" in Greek.

They try to link the concept of "transformation" with "soul" or "living force" like the metamorphosis that so obvious in insects.

But not so obvious in adults. We are slower than insects.

A baby is small and has small fingernails and small eyebrows and big round face. An adult has big fingernails and large eyebrows and sharp or square faces. A transformation (many) has occurred. But these specific transformations are proportional to all other transformations. Or should be.

If all "depression" and "mania" is in the gut, one possible line of research is: is there an incomplete transformation? a wrong transformation?

Is healing the gut the same as completing a transformation, and getting that organ shape in proportion with the rest of the body?

And perhaps there are many toxins out there (mold, for example) that stop or damage the transformation of the gut.
