Celia, I think this is the best thing I’ve read on Substack in a long time, and I do follow the great ones. Thank you for not turning away from the things you’ve seen, even when all the others did, so that you could learn to think this way. It had to have come at a cost, and we all benefit from it now.
Years of watching this once great country circle the drain has led to misery. One day after another of nausea. When will it end? Where, then, will it lead?
Finally, after watching this utterly insane shitshow develop before my disbelieving eyes... I believe I know the answer! It's hilarity. What lies beyond this theater of the absurd? Laughter.
The insane manics running the show behind the scenes finally jumped the shark. It's beyond absurd. Point and laugh. Point – and most of all – laugh.
I’m right there with you, peering over the sink! It is miserable to watch - for all of us. The optimistic part of me comforts the constant worrying handwringing part of me by positing the thought that it had to come to this. Good and evil must be brought into sharp relief at some point because the tension of living in a suffering world demands it - in the eyes of God. We cannot get to paradise without walking through hell - holding onto each other. ❤️
especially loved the first guy outside the prison. i watched it over and over and laughed along every time. "he didn't do nothin'". how many of those inmates were feeling that right?
I spent some time last night watching you tube reaction videos to Oliver Anthony’s Rich Men North of Richmond. They show all races of ordinary people. Seeing that and their reactions felt good.

it's good to be skeptical. Nothing from the msm, corporations, "influencers" or politicians should be taken as anything but propaganda, lies and deceit.
If you love the sentiment, but loathe the expression, give Paul Simon's AMERICAN TUNE a revisit.
Sadly, Paul is a Lefty and misunderstands just what has gone wrong, but at least he is an actual composer and lyricist and leaves to the listener the interpretation of what he sublimely expresses.
Gaine’s Mad Mag, Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Spike Jones, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Frank Zappa… the Ramones first perfectly politically incorrect first album… We Americans have always been too beautifully Fkd Up to let the fascist asshole, now Davos Man system, bring us down. From Thomas Paine to Jimmy Dore, biting political commentary and satire has always been our first amendment savior. Keeping the ability to keep amusement close to our hearts will get us thru this.

This is not a theory- this is truth. This American/human resiliency and my faith in God are the things I hold onto during this evil time. The people (and I use the term loosely) that are trying to crush us, have no real idea of what they are up against. They are prideful, arrogant, narcissists - their pride blinds them to the beautiful nature of the human spirit. We will figure it out as we go. It may be painful but in the end - they will be scurrying for their rat holes - only to die in them.

Angels were created by God to serve mankind (to go back and forth between heaven and earth assisting us; each soul is given a guardian angel at birth; and each geographic area, country, and city has an angel assigned to its border. Angels do more for us than we will ever know. Most are aware of St Michael the Archangel, guardian of Israel and all believers. Lucifer refused to serve mankind because of his PRIDE - "Non servium" - he would not serve us - and so Archangel Michael cast him into Hell. One third of the angels decided to go with him. Demons are fallen angels, banished from God for eternity. (Lucifer and his minions hate mankind and all they want to do is use people, ruin them, and take them to Hell for eternity. Eventually Lucifer will usher in the Antichrist and try to get everyone to serve the Antichrist.) The sin of pride is the toughest nut to crack. It takes humility to acknowledge pride. It's a vice that does ruin people, and ruins society.
Indeed, God is the only place peace is found. Standing on the rock of truth and in the image of your creator, you, my friend, have already won whatever battle you will face. You will not be alone, even when nobody is around.
I love Trump. I love EVERYTHING HE STANDS FOR. I love his hair and his family and his style. I love his character and his portrayal. But most of all his humble charitable nature is what makes him win. You may not know that FACT precisely because he never brags about it.
