Our cat has has his guard station right outside our front door. He came over and applied for the job a couple of years ago after apparently noticing we might need his help. We had him scanned for a microchip and searched for previous employers, but he had none. He's already earned several promotions and is doing a wonderful job.
My cat patrols the neighborhood and even trained another cat to do it exactly the same way as he does. I see the other cat following the same route and stopping in the same places as my cat. It's a hoot.
My cat also gets irate when the neighbors do things he doesn't approve of and protests loudly when he comes in. I just agree with him and give him a hug for his labor of love in keeping the neighborhood safe and orderly.
So cute! I'm not surprised . Iwas so impressed with the Turks treatment of cats- would see cab drivers dumping buckets of delicious smelling meat for strays all over Istanbul. Cats were everywhere but very well treated and in good shape. Apparently the ottomans loved cats for controlling mice and that respect continues today :)
There is an amazing documentary about the feral cats in Istanbul, I highly recommend it :"KEDI" -- came out in 2016, it's absolutely wonderful. Istanbul looooves it's kitties!

That is too funny! I do wonder if the cuteness thing is just their way of keeping us from getting suspicious:)
They rule the world. No question about it. So maybe you're right!
Ha, ha! true:)
That’s how it we like it! Let’s start the Revolution....
Now I understand the origin of the word "CATSCAN"
I read once that there are four phases of matter: solid, liquid, gas and cat.
HA! We need Cats at the White House, Federal Reserve, FBI, and IRS. (to name just a few places)
I love it! I would like to see that system adopted in our country.
I'll take a cat over TSA anyday!
There has definitely been a marked decrease in the amount of attempts to smuggle catnip.
Thank you for brightening my day Celia! We love you...

I believe it’s Istanbul where this man rescues stray cats and plays piano with them:

Cars might be aware of something we're missing, while they share our fatigue.
