He didn't appear to be afraid or uncomfortable speaking frankly to a room full of women. Rare.

In the supposedly 'free' UK I am not allowed to view the video. The US-lapdogs here have a propaganda machine Goebbels would have been proud of. Well, as the CIA is run by his disciples (and MI5/6 a mere offshoot of the Company) I can see the common ground. Thank you Celia for your wide open viewpoints. I am so grateful to have found you, and you keep many of us sane in this world of mad men (and women, don't forget Hillary...).

The Q&A may have corresponded with International Women's Day.

Which is big in Russia. That woman who asked the question looked smart as did the woman behind her.

If you go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Enj016XJESc you'll learn right at the beginning of the video that the woman who asked the question is a co-pilot of an Aeroflot Airbus A320. Since it appears the woman to her left is wearing the same style uniform, I would think she is also a pilot or co-pilot. Neither of these women looks at all scared. They both look highly confident and intelligent.

I think Putin is a tyrant. So that would be a smart thing to be right?

Yes. If you go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoQYrgwCWyk which is the full video of this meeting, Putin congratulates them on the upcoming March 8 celebration. Just an fyi that the women in blue/brown striped ties are either pilots or co-pilots. Women in scarfs are flight attendants.

In the last few years I have been checking out body language sites and have gleaned some thoughts from there. I think a body language checker would suggest that his body sings with his narrative. He was relatively relaxed, confident, and was passionate. That he needs no notes, and speaks directly without long pauses, suggests this is what he believes. Then again, he may be a superb actor. Who knows anything these days? As a matter of fact, he expressed the thoughts of many when he said that black was white, and white was black. Now, as for the blonde beyond the questioner, whoa, she seemed rather unconvinced by his words.

When I watched it a couple of days ago, I was trying to find a single one of them who drank from her teapot. Not successful. Also tried to find one with legs wrapped 3 times around each other. Two was the record, but many legs were hidden under the table.

Not to make fun...You're right. It was worth watching. Ditto with the Empire of Lies speech. I wish we had leaders in the west who could talk and make sense...or at least project honesty.

I believe the event was to mark International Women's Day. At least one of the women (in the dark suit) identified herself as an Aeroflot pilot, and I had the impression that the woman next to her was a pilot too.

To call what happened in the Maidan in 2014 a coup is a half-truth, of which this world dominated by out of control patriarchal capitalists is full. Yes, the West so-called in its arrogance was indulging in provocation. But how anyone can say a pitiless dictator like Putin is good on any level is beyond me. Check out the wholesale murder of innocents in Chechnya, in Syria, not to mention the total erasure of any democratic impulse among his own people, murdering or disappearing whoever presents a threat. And bioweapons in the Ukraine, what else is new? Every country with the capability including Russia has been making bioweapons for decades. As for 2014 in Ukraine, the Kremlin's puppet in control then was totally corrupt. Go back and read what the Ukrainian people thought of him, watch them wandering through his obscene palace after he had to flee to Moscow. The fact about this war regarding the US/West vs. Putin is a pox on both their houses! Gigantic male egos on the loose -- dictators and generals in Thailand, Myanmar, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, China, Syria, the list goes on and on. Fixating on what the US did is disregarding the whole rotten field. Without finding a way to get rid of patriarchy and capitalism we're headed toward the wall.

In an apparent attempt at appeasing Moscow, Ukraine's president Zelenskyy said that he is no longer seeking a NATO membership, an issue that was one of Russia's stated reasons for the invasion. To shed more light on this, we are joined by WION's correspondent Olly Barratt and political analyst Andreas Umland.
