At the time of HIV's discovery, Mikovits was a lab technician in Francis Ruscetti's lab at NCI and had yet to receive her Ph.D. There is no evidence that she was part of the team that first isolated the virus. Her first published paper, co-authored with Ruscetti, was on HIV and published in May 1986, 2 years after Science published four landmark papers that linked HIV (then called HTLV-III by Gallo's lab) to AIDS. Ruscetti's first paper on HIV appeared in August 1985. There is no evidence that Fauci held up any publications or that this led to the death of millions.
But there were some nefarious goings-on with Gallo and Fauci.
Gallo was found guilty of duplicity, to say the least, with regard to his HIV proclomations and had to issue an apology to Montagnier.
I've always found Mikovitz story about Fauci's phone call to Ruscetti's lab and his demand of Ruscetti's paper, which Mikovitz would not give him, pretty compelling.

The pain of losing friends, family or other loved ones to death is very real. The spirit is a dark one and it is the same as the dark spirits behind both AIDS and Covid, only with some more accurate science covering up its cruel supremacy agenda. To then repeatedly insist that other people’s opinion are ruining the gleaming reputation of your movement, when your movement’s only reputation is that you inexplicably terrorize and abuse people just trying to figure things out, raises it all to the level of a cult.
Categorically: Back when the rift broke out, The Perth Group accused Duesberg, Crowe, Rasnick, and others of not coming around to its position, its acolytes upgraded this into cause to sledgehammer the movement until nothing moved. It lasted years, and was extremely ugly. The Duesberg camp never demanded the same shift from the HIV has not been proven to exist (Perth) camp. So on side declared war and the other side did not fight on the same terms. The Duesberg camp didn’t need the Perth Camp to convert to itself but the Perth Camp required that people convert or stand accused of “ignorning” their work, even if, as in my case, we wrote about it and wrote about it. Once I put their work into an article, in Harper’s, sent it to them for correction, with almost 4 weeks time allotted. They replied it was not enough time and asked to be removed entirely. I did as they said. Guess what happened? What do you think? I got accused of again ignoring them. And they attacked the article, when I was at my most besieged and vulnerable. And then I was accused again for the next 15 years of being against them. I was against how they played dirty, in war, and how nothing was ever enough.
Our ethos prior to that had been solidarity and unity against the real enemy, but to them, we were the real enemy. I had an exchange with Val Turner in 2023-2024 about how PG’s followers hurt people who did not deserve it, and he eventually acknowledged that the most vicious among them “did not speak for the Perth Group.” He still didn’t seem to understand how far it had gone or the deep wounds it had caused.
The Perth Group was not targeted by the global cabal as Peter was, as I was, as so many of us were, but this aspect of the “war” never seemed to interest them. It was purely a matter of perfect/correct science, to them. I found this frankly mind boggling. I don’t adhere to their version of history that Peter Duesberg was a big bad wolf who never admitted they were right and sank the great war. He went as far as his training and and beliefs took him, and he did so without an ounce or rancor or betrayal.
These wounds will never heal. We fought all that, all that, only to be beaten up and re-assigned as trash by forces within our own movement. So in the end, it feels like we fought for nothing, since unity of spirit was always what gave us the strength to go on.

I tell and direct many people to your substack. I recommend your book. For a while I took a neutral approach when people asked me if they should get the vaccine or booster. You know, the follow your conscience thing. Would I give that advice to someone concerning any other poison? Of course not. Dear Celia, do not forget that when people are on to 'something' others will be sent in to create confusion, distrust, etc,etc. I know you know this as you have lived it. We can only know from the inside out, intuitively, if only we were raised to trust our intuition, our gut feeling, and our sight and hearing for real. Imagine if we were taught to honour our own perception and to always question everything. The school system does the opposite, after 12 yrs of sitting most can't ask the most basic questions anymore or just sit with the feeling of not knowing or not knowing for sure, just asking a question and then just being and waiting or better yet to go out and find as much information as possible of all kinds. We have to be allowed to ask ourselves: Why do we think/believe that viruses exist? Who planted that thought in the mind's eye and who is making a gazillion off of that believed thought with all its consequences included? There is a weird thing about the word pseudoscience and pseudoscientist.
It is normally used as an insult. But, sometimes, it is seriously used as if it was merely a descriptive word, free of judgment.
Let's remember: pseudoscience is all activity that does not meet the demarcation criterion of Karl Popper.
Now, any science must have an object of study: dendrology has trees as object of study, and neurology, the nerves, and vexillology has flags.
If viruses exist, then virology has an object of study. If they don't exist, virology lacks an object of study. That should be enough. No need to attack the man.
But Popper gave the deliberately confusing definition that a topic of study is scientific if, and only if, it is possible, in principle, to prove that it is false, if it is false. And he was not misusing English because he was an Austrian, but because he was an asshole. Thus, evolutionary theory is not scientific because no one can prove it is false if it is false. Very confusing, right?
I think this is all bunk. I don't trust anything coming from Popper. But 99% of scientific talk is dominated by Popper's way of thinking. Which is a form of irrationalism. But almost no one cares about irrationality in serious topics of science, that affect people's lives. SAD!
I try to be diplomatic: even if something is pseudoscientfic in Popper's (supposedly) non-judgmental falsifiability criterion, I still give it a go, because I don't like thought terminating cliches, like "pseudoscience" which is everywhere in wikipedia, the encyclopedia of carefree thinkers.
But the careful people who argue on the internet against arguments and not against people, use the current version of science and the "scientific method" (I'm also against the method, btw) because they have chosen the path of winning the establishment using the rules and tools and language of the establishment. Although I have degrees in chemistry, I would suggest that an excellent introduction to the scamdemic v. 1.0, AKA AIDS, may be found in the late and lamented book by Liam Scheff, Official Stories, CR 2012, and namely in Ch. 5 - Vaccination -The Religious Science and Ch. 6 HIV - The Scarlet Letter, though all chapters are worth their weight in gold, even at the current COMEX price. He writes with great humor and insight. Though my favorite line in the book was not about AIDS but rather Shake-Speare, not Shakespeare, which reads regarding Elizabethan England, "It was as seedy, dishonest and treacherous an age as, well, it's just like now. But smellier."

The only thing honest about AIDS is its title, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, though exactly how it may be acquired has nothing to do with a pathological virus. It never got published and is in a box somewhere in storage. Peter was 100% part of creating the book but Bryan was the writer and did a lot of the research. Joan used to call him IBB, for Incredibly Brilliant Bryan.
Wow, that is so interesting, I never realized that Bryan co-wrote that outstanding book with him. Thanks to him and too bad he ended up distancing himself from it. You know, I may have met Bryan once very briefly.
In early 1990 I started an administrative job providing services to graduate students in the newly expanded Dept. of Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, Duesberg's department. There were about 80 faculty, and each had a lab with several grad students and postdocs. So my first week, I walked around to all the labs to say hello to the grad students and introduce myself. It was clear to me that Duesberg was ostracized by his colleagues (in my previous job among epidemiologists I had heard him being viciously attacked), and I was told no grad students wanted to work with him, but he did have one who was still with him, Bryan. So I'm pretty sure I stopped by his lab and said hi. Now I wish I had taken the time to talk to him and his boss at greater length.. A big regret of mine.

Different virus being studied - but later led to a change in cancer research directions ,alleviating childhood leukemias ,eventually using herpes simplex virus to implode certain tumours of the neck .But medical applications quite outwith ''the science'' ,always .

Celia thank you for cracking this topic open. I am a late comer to “Aids reality,” having been “woke up” so to speak by covid. Ellison’s book was my primer into Duesberg. From there I devoured about 50 of the prominent books about flawed science of Aids. Including Ed Hooper which I hesitate to interject here seems to be among the most fabulous of intentional or unintentional misdirections, who knows? There were alls sorts of puzzle pieces that belonged in the box but I didn’t quite see how they went together. My previous research was largely regarding how US money works. The same paradigms of human deception are at play there, so in some ways covid and Aids were just another play with the same actors within the theater of human deception,. My only caution about any vitriol from any of us is a plea for all to understand many of us were only a n junior high when “aids” “happened.” The number of people in the global human population who can carry on a discussion in this thread regarding what I would call the evolution of the aids truth movement is incredibly low. Possibly only numbering in the hundreds globally. That is just the nature of the deception that rules human consciousness on planet earth! To even get started with this one needs to have an incredibly skeptical mind lol. And for this reason, it is incredibly tempting to grasp for overly simplistic summations, which yield criticism of people like Duesberg. I really enjoyed reading The Kingdom of Speech by Tom Wolfe. I think he does a great debunking of evolution. The part of the book I most enjoyed showed how all contemporary dissent from Darwin's theory met with the hammer--a tactic we are all familiar with. I think this is the first modern example of utilizing a shaming technique to give rise to a flawed theory.

This delay of the confirmation, you know, literally led to spreading the virus around, you know, killing millions.
At the time of HIV's discovery, Mikovits was a lab technician in Francis Ruscetti's lab at NCI and had yet to receive her Ph.D. There is no evidence that she was part of the team that first isolated the virus. Her first published paper, co-authored with Ruscetti, was on HIV and published in May 1986, 2 years after Science published four landmark papers that linked HIV (then called HTLV-III by Gallo's lab) to AIDS. Ruscetti's first paper on HIV appeared in August 1985. There is no evidence that Fauci held up any publications or that this led to the death of millions.
But there were some nefarious goings-on with Gallo and Fauci.
Gallo was found guilty of duplicity, to say the least, with regard to his HIV proclomations and had to issue an apology to Montagnier.
I've always found Mikovitz story about Fauci's phone call to Ruscetti's lab and his demand of Ruscetti's paper, which Mikovitz would not give him, pretty compelling.
Mikovitz was in the beginning but they had her thrown in jail & she went through a lot because she wouldn’t go along. To do so when you have shown up over 30 years late, and obscure, or just not mention, said 30 plus year gap, is suggestive of PSY OP/demoralization agenda.
The spirit is a dark one and it is the same as the dark spirits behind both AIDS and Covid, only with some more accurate science covering up its cruel supremacy agenda. To then repeatedly insist that other people’s opinion are ruining the gleaming reputation of your movement, when your movement’s only reputation is that you inexplicably terrorize and abuse people just trying to figure things out, raises it all to the level of a cult.
Categorically: Back when the rift broke out, The Perth Group accused Duesberg, Crowe, Rasnick, and others of not coming around to its position, its acolytes upgraded this into cause to sledgehammer the movement until nothing moved. It lasted years, and was extremely ugly. The Duesberg camp never demanded the same shift from the HIV has not been proven to exist (Perth) camp. So on side declared war and the other side did not fight on the same terms. The Duesberg camp didn’t need the Perth Camp to convert to itself but the Perth Camp required that people convert or stand accused of “ignorning” their work, even if, as in my case, we wrote about it and wrote about it. Once I put their work into an article, in Harper’s, sent it to them for correction, with almost 4 weeks time allotted. They replied it was not enough time and asked to be removed entirely. I did as they said. Guess what happened? What do you think? I got accused of again ignoring them. And they attacked the article, when I was at my most besieged and vulnerable. And then I was accused again for the next 15 years of being against them. I was against how they played dirty, in war, and how nothing was ever enough.
Our ethos prior to that had been solidarity and unity against the real enemy, but to them, we were the real enemy. I had an exchange with Val Turner in 2023-2024 about how PG’s followers hurt people who did not deserve it, and he eventually acknowledged that the most vicious among them “did not speak for the Perth Group.” He still didn’t seem to understand how far it had gone or the deep wounds it had caused.
The Perth Group was not targeted by the global cabal as Peter was, as I was, as so many of us were, but this aspect of the “war” never seemed to interest them. It was purely a matter of perfect/correct science, to them. I found this frankly mind boggling. I don’t adhere to their version of history that Peter Duesberg was a big bad wolf who never admitted they were right and sank the great war. He went as far as his training and and beliefs took him, and he did so without an ounce or rancor or betrayal.
These wounds will never heal. We fought all that, all that, only to be beaten up and re-assigned as trash by forces within our own movement. So in the end, it feels like we fought for nothing, since unity of spirit was always what gave us the strength to go on.
I no longer care what they say about me, I’ve accepted that I did what I did to the best of my ability and I never claimed I was a scientific esoteric wizard, or any scientist, just an interviewer, writer, and historian. If somebody allows for gang brutality, stands by, encourages it, they work for the state, as far as I am concerned. Nobody knows who they are, who pays them, or what dark Gods they pray to. Gods of scientific materialism, but in reverse. Claiming something does not exist, making it the only important thing, is the flip side of the idolatry of claiming a thing exists—both scientific materialism, cold and indifferent to the human spirit caught in the trap. Peter tried always to get people out of that trap. That is the definition of a liberator. AIDS was a monstrous attack on the human spirit. With false, imaginary science attached to it as pretext. Correcting that science without addressing the fact that the beast was designed to kill people whether anything existed or not, is fixing deck chairs on the Titanic. Let everybody say what they want. Let them earn livings doing so. Let them erase history. But when they bully people, really seek to hurt people, destroy their belief in themselves, I would hope people would see that correct science does not make up for sociopathic cruelty. I am a doctor who grew up “ medically “ in the 80s. I swallowed the AIDS story hook line and sinker. I continued my propaganda driven life until after covid. I got the vaccine, like so many other followers, and two weeks later had a heart attack. I started looking into this whole scenario that suddenly did not make sense. An aha moment occurred when I was cross referencing some things and came across a link to your substack. I have been following since.
I tell and direct many people to your substack. I recommend your book. For a while I took a neutral approach when people asked me if they should get the vaccine or booster. You know, the follow your conscience thing. Would I give that advice to someone concerning any other poison? Of course not. I was once thinking how ashamed I would be if you knew how I was approaching this. So I changed.
At any rate, it’s discouraging always to be on the side of truth. There is at least one person ( me, along with many others) who is glad that you stand up like you do.

Dear Celia, do not forget that when people are on to 'something' others will be sent in to create confusion, distrust, etc,etc. I know you know this as you have lived it. We can only know from the inside out, intuitively, if only we were raised to trust our intuition, our gut feeling, and our sight and hearing for real. Imagine if we were taught to honour our own perception and to always question everything. The school system does the opposite, after 12 yrs of sitting most can't ask the most basic questions anymore or just sit with the feeling of not knowing or not knowing for sure, just asking a question and then just being and waiting or better yet to go out and find as much information as possible of all kinds. So from a very childlike view if aids was real as stated in the eighties none of us would be asking questions now as we'd all be gone as that is how it was sold to the public, as that is not the case we know for sure that that storyline is off base and now we've lived through another scare of a different but same kind. We have to go back to giving birth at home with kind midwives, gentle healing thoughts, kindness in caring for those who are weaker and show symptoms of any kind whilst healing. We have to be allowed to ask ourselves: Why do we think/believe that viruses exist? Who planted that thought in the mind's eye and who is making a gazillion off of that believed thought with all its consequences included? I do not sell anything so it is not me nor do I invest in any of the companies that do. You state in your line that you 'think' they exist but thinking and knowing are two different things, just as knowing and doing are two different things as well. It is difficult enough to assess in this age of confusion who is and who is not real cointelpro, many are just regurgitating what they heard in school or on telly their whole lives, you can't blame them either except maybe for not be inquisitive. There is a weird thing about the word pseudoscience and pseudoscientist.
It is normally used as an insult. But, sometimes, it is seriously used as if it was merely a descriptive word, free of judgment.
Let's remember: pseudoscience is all activity that does not meet the demarcation criterion of Karl Popper.
Now, any science must have an object of study: dendrology has trees as object of study, and neurology, the nerves, and vexillology has flags.
If viruses exist, then virology has an object of study. If they don't exist, virology lacks an object of study. That should be enough. No need to attack the man.
But Popper gave the deliberately confusing definition that a topic of study is scientific if, and only if, it is possible, in principle, to prove that it is false, if it is false. And he was not misusing English because he was an Austrian, but because he was an asshole. Thus, evolutionary theory is not scientific because no one can prove it is false if it is false. Very confusing, right?
I think this is all bunk. I don't trust anything coming from Popper. But 99% of scientific talk is dominated by Popper's way of thinking. Which is a form of irrationalism. But almost no one cares about irrationality in serious topics of science, that affect people's lives. SAD!
I try to be diplomatic: even if something is pseudoscientfic in Popper's (supposedly) non-judgmental falsifiability criterion, I still give it a go, because I don't like thought terminating cliches, like "pseudoscience" which is everywhere in wikipedia, the encyclopedia of carefree thinkers.
But the careful people who argue on the internet against arguments and not against people, use the current version of science and the "scientific method" (I'm also against the method, btw) because they have chosen the path of winning the establishment using the rules and tools and language of the establishment. Which has a lot of merit, in my opinion. I have no patience for playing in a rigged casino.

Although I have degrees in chemistry, I would suggest that an excellent introduction to the scamdemic v. 1.0, AKA AIDS, may be found in the late and lamented book by Liam Scheff, Official Stories, CR 2012, and namely in Ch. 5 - Vaccination -The Religious Science and Ch. 6 HIV - The Scarlet Letter, though all chapters are worth their weight in gold, even at the current COMEX price. He writes with great humor and insight. Though my favorite line in the book was not about AIDS but rather Shake-Speare, not Shakespeare, which reads regarding Elizabethan England, "It was as seedy, dishonest and treacherous an age as, well, it's just like now. But smellier."

The only thing honest about AIDS is its title, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, though exactly how it may be acquired has nothing to do with a pathological virus. Invent an invisible, lethal danger to everyone and call it a virus. Invent a fake test or two, based of fraudulent chemistry, to see if you've got it. It never got published and is in a box somewhere in storage. Peter was 100% part of creating the book but Bryan was the writer and did a lot of the research. Joan used to call him IBB, for Incredibly Brilliant Bryan.
Wow, that is so interesting, I never realized that Bryan co-wrote that outstanding book with him. Thanks to him and too bad he ended up distancing himself from it. You know, I may have met Bryan once very briefly.
In early 1990 I started an administrative job providing services to graduate students in the newly expanded Dept. of Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, Duesberg's department. There were about 80 faculty, and each had a lab with several grad students and postdocs. So my first week, I walked around to all the labs to say hello to the grad students and introduce myself. It was clear to me that Duesberg was ostracized by his colleagues (in my previous job among epidemiologists I had heard him being viciously attacked), and I was told no grad students wanted to work with him, but he did have one who was still with him, Bryan. So I'm pretty sure I stopped by his lab and said hi. Now I wish I had taken the time to talk to him and his boss at greater length.. A big regret of mine.

Different virus being studied - but later led to a change in cancer research directions ,alleviating childhood leukemias ,eventually using herpes simplex virus to implode certain tumours of the neck .But medical applications quite outwith ''the science'' ,always .
It's so complex - that it's only the amateurs and totally ignorant who dare to say only one possible hypothesis is ''correct'' .
That was never science .

Celia thank you for cracking this topic open. I am a late comer to “Aids reality,” having been “woke up” so to speak by covid. Ellison’s book was my primer into Duesberg. From there I devoured about 50 of the prominent books about flawed science of Aids. Including Ed Hooper which I hesitate to interject here seems to be among the most fabulous of intentional or unintentional misdirections, who knows? There were alls sorts of puzzle pieces that belonged in the box but I didn’t quite see how they went together. My previous research was largely regarding how US money works. The same paradigms of human deception are at play there, so in some ways covid and Aids were just another play with the same actors within the theater of human deception,. My only caution about any vitriol from any of us is a plea for all to understand many of us were only a n junior high when “aids” “happened.” The number of people in the global human population who can carry on a discussion in this thread regarding what I would call the evolution of the aids truth movement is incredibly low. Possibly only numbering in the hundreds globally. That is just the nature of the deception that rules human consciousness on planet earth! To even get started with this one needs to have an incredibly skeptical mind lol. And for this reason, it is incredibly tempting to grasp for overly simplistic summations, which yield criticism of people like Duesberg. This thread right here on sub stack is the most “over the target” assemblage of ideas about the history of AIDS movement I’ve encountered so far. Let’s keep it up. I really enjoyed reading The Kingdom of Speech by Tom Wolfe. I think he does a great debunking of evolution. The part of the book I most enjoyed showed how all contemporary dissent from Darwin's theory met with the hammer--a tactic we are all familiar with. I think this is the first modern example of utilizing a shaming technique to give rise to a flawed theory.
