Desmet and Kingsnorth both describe important parts of what we face, but I know at last for Desmet, he seems naive to the fact that there are those who push these ideologies on purpose to make us easier to dominate. Yes, I agree with his diagnosis, but I consider his choice to go with Orthodoxy despite being in the West to be a continuation of the error of Protestantism or schism b/c it is a failure to remedy the need for unity and humility even in the face of the imperfection of the Roman Catholic Church. (Turns out the Eastern Orthodox Churches have their own share of imperfection, surprise surprise. But still, he gets to do as he sees fit.) It is my hope that with enough faith and if God wills it, we can restore these two apostolic Churches to the health where they can re-unite.
Yes, and please help me be part of the sincere faithful remnant to pray and sacrifice to purify ourselves so that we can be a support in our local church such that we inspire greater faith and sincerity to support the authorities to stand up to evil and corruption within our leadership. If God wills it, it can be done. If not, we are still doing what we have been commanded to do and can serve as a support to the faith of others, so it is still the right thing, imo.
