Here's the thing with this Gaza fiasco.... On 10/7 Israel had a legit reason to inflict the carnage upon those that murdered its people en masse. They quickly reached 20,000 dead and should have stopped there (as gruesome as this sounds). In this part of the world it is a "honor-dishonor, tit-for-tat" society. After which they should have used other tools to inflict pain (i.e. economic). Folks have to keep in mind that most in Gaza support Hamas. I realize that a lot of this support is coreiced but there are ways to provide "support" without giving aid. Nonetheless, here we are a year later. The problem is that Israel is pushing itself towards a conflict with Hezbollah and Iran. In a traditional military sense they can not win - thus, I fear nukes will be exchanged, which could rapidly escalate. Even if no war happens, Israel has guaranteed several generations of conflict as each Gazan killed has a family member who will avenge them....same goes for those Israelis killed. It is a vicious cycle. Talk about lose-lose. As far as a genocide is concerned....there is the potential to make the Holocaust look like a "walk in the park". Really? Did the over 15,000 Palestinian children Israel has murdered so far in Gaza participate in the October 7 attack? The murdered Palestinian doctors, paramedics and hospital patients? Israel has no right to do anything in Gaza, except stop occupying and besieging it and torturing and murdering its occupants. Here's the thing with this Gaza fiasco.... On 10/7 Israel had a legit reason to inflict the carnage upon those that murdered its people en masse. They quickly reached 20,000 dead and should have stopped there (as gruesome as this sounds). In this part of the world it is a "honor-dishonor, tit-for-tat" society. After which they should have used other tools to inflict pain (i.e. economic). Folks have to keep in mind that most in Gaza support Hamas. I realize that a lot of this support is coreiced but there are ways to provide "support" without giving aid. Nonetheless, here we are a year later. The problem is that Israel is pushing itself towards a conflict with Hezbollah and Iran. In a traditional military sense they can not win - thus, I fear nukes will be exchanged, which could rapidly escalate. Even if no war happens, Israel has guaranteed several generations of conflict as each Gazan killed has a family member who will avenge them....same goes for those Israelis killed. It is a vicious cycle. Talk about lose-lose. As far as a genocide is concerned....there is the potential to make the Holocaust look like a "walk in the park". Watch the site of the Dome of the Rock, the Temple Mount, which was the location of the first two Temples of Jerusalem. I have believed it is genocide, that was and is my belief. But it actually really helps having Vera Sharav confirm it. This is what we have come to. We are so bedazzled by the fog of war that we are unable to stand united against the mass killing of civilians. And, I'll say it--we've been so incredibly shamed about the Holocaust that it is tantamount to heresy to dare criticize Israel--and that angers me deeply.

I concur with her and it makes me scream inside that this horror is still ongoing right in front of the world's eyes.....

Who is Vera and why should anyone care what she thinks about the war with Hamas?
Let's see Vera come to Israel and live side by side with the oppressed , "peace loving Arabs" for a dozen years or so. Then she can express an opinion.
