I’m feeling it too. I haven’t put out a video in a week. Haven’t even started a new one yet. There’s too much. Overwhelmed and anxious constantly. But I know when I’m supposed to I will. Sometimes I think of it like this... we’re the “shock absorbers”. All of this is too much, we all get it first, before the rest of the population comes to terms with it. “It” being whatever disturbing information or hidden truths, etc. and it’s not easy. But we’re stronger than we realize, that’s why we’re doing it. My heart goes out to you and Lewis. ♥️

Oh, Celia, my heart is hurting for Lewis and for you, but I’m also hoping to soon hear news of healing for both of you.

Even when you can’t find words, you write eloquently.

You are wise to resist antibiotics as a wrecked gut can set you up for even more autoimmune illness and associated problems.

Have you looked for a functional medicine practitioner? I have heard some lyme disease patients have had success with functional medicine approaches.

And I wonder if putting Lewis on a grain-free diet would help? You have to transition gradually (mixing old with new food in greater percentages over a week+) to minimize digestive stress, but since carbs are bad for human cancer patients, reducing them may help kitty cancer patients, too.

Hugs to you and Lewis 🤗

I felt every word of that Celia. This is torture and for some reason, this week is the worst for me too. Praying for Lewis and you. Know you're not alone.

I can't say if any of this will prove at all helpful to you, I've decided to share with you (lengthy) abbreviations of my experiences.

I have a rare disabling genetic disease. When active it is systemically weakening at which point I am prone to uncommon life-threatening bacterial infections. I have had bone infections, tendon and joint infections, necrotic skin infections, strep g blood infection. I live in LA and have a highly regarded Infectious Disease specialist. About 8 years ago, after having spent a couple of years on home care IV antibiotics followed by 2 years of oral antibiotics it looked like I was developing a bone infection in my face/jaw. My Infectious Disease doctor was trying to treat with a different antibiotic before going back on IV when she suggested I place a piece of copper in my pillowcase and perhaps start wearing copper. I thought she was crazy. She explained that copper has an antibacterial halo of about 20", it's proven and some hospitals are starting to implement copper fixtures in ICU's but in the US there was resistance. A few weeks later I saw my skin infection specialist, a research dermatologist. I kind of whispered this to her and with a straight face she told me she has her research incubators specially made incorporating copper and now her research doesn't get ruined by bacteria. When I looked uncertain she started pulling up study after study. I've been off antibiotics ever since. Have not had to have IV antibiotics, no oral antibiotics, I haven't really needed to see either doctor, have just gone for a couple of follow ups. When my family members have had infections, they may go to the doctor and may even get a prescription but they always start wearing copper and it always works. I have a couple of broken teeth, broken off at the gum line. Due to my condition I have to have dental work done in the hospital. I went to arrange care just as the pandemic was starting 2 years ago then they phoned and cancelled everything because of the pandemic. Still haven't gone in, no infection, no discomfort, nothing. And I've been hospitalized with previous jaw infections as well as facial cellulitis before. I don't know if copper can help Lyme, but you've got nothing to lose. My wee 6lb dog Simon used to get infections, I put a copper ring on his collar, he hasn't had an infection in at least 4 years. Can't be a placebo effect on him.

Now about your wee friend. At a certain point one of my doctors found research from the late 1970's that showed a cheap over the counter medicine seemed to help my genetic condition. The more established treatment is $120,000 for a 4 day round and is contraindicated for me because I also have a clotting disorder. I was doubtful but basically fully disabled at that point, this was about 5ish years ago, I decided it couldn't hurt to give it a shot. Now, I am not cured by any means but I am no longer bed-bound, no longer on home nursing care, I cook, clean, garden and can go for walks or short errands. Close to a miracle. Patience, I'm almost there. When my primary doctor next saw me after I started this, he was shocked. He knows the other doctor, I explained everything, he was amazed. He looked over his shoulder then whispered, "I know it cures cancer but I had idea it could help your condition. Hm. Makes sense." I was floored and in a way, devastated. We had just lost a dear friend to cancer. I went home and researched on my own.

Yes. Cimetidine is known to cure cancer. They think it makes cancer cells less sticky in some way. It's a standard treatment in Japan for colorectal cancer, if I recall correctly. I don't know if it's safe for cats or how much a cat would take. It's sold over the counter in 200 mg tablets for gastric reflux, I think in Japan they were using 800 mg 2x a day. For my genetic condition I was taking 5,000 mg a day for a time, presently I take 2,400 mg a day.

I rarely share these things because 1 I am not a doctor or veterinarian and 2 I know it sounds crazy. Perhaps ask your vet if cimetidine is safe for cats and at what dose and then go from there to see about increasing it.

You will both be in my thoughts and prayers. My little Simon is sleeping against my lap, out giant Glitter (20lb+ cat) is cuddled beside him, we will all dream of happier times for you and Lewis.

“The past week has been very challenging. For all of us, I suspect.

We crave relief, mercy, some kind of break in the white-knuckle ride.”

I didn’t realize how much I was feeling this way until I read these words you wrote today. Wow. And the white-knuckle aspect seemingly has no let up. When the endless wild ride comes close to being overwhelming, I can’t tell you how helpful it is for me to freeze-frame for a moment and realize we are all going through this together. But the big problem is, I think, that we do not have close daily contact other than through writings and videos of kindred spirits weathering the storm from their own undisclosed locations. But I am so thankful for them and for you and for everyone here.

And on top of it all you are having to go through this awfulness with dear Lewis and your Lyme disease. And I have been diagnosed with a hernia!

Finally, I completely echo the thoughts of Margaret Anna Alice: I applaud your resistance to that long course of antibiotics; a functional medicine practitioner would be highly advisable; and I think investigating a grain-free diet for Lewis might be helpful. Here’s a link about that: https://www.onlynaturalpet.com/blogs/holistic-healthcare-library/is-grain-free-food-right-for-your-dog-or-cat

Hanging in there and sending hugs and love to you and Lewis! 🌟♥️

Oh Celia I feel your everything. If we don’t feel these things we are soulless. The things that have, are and will happen are so overwhelming I sometimes think the impossible and then remind myself that we can never, ever, ever, ever give up or in. We can take a break, find our boots, sit with those we love, take an icebath, smoke a joint…and then face the shit show, a bit calmer maybe? I don’t know but I know I’m really glad I met you and I’m sending you and Lewis a warm hug.

Life is harder than it used to be…or maybe joy is just harder to find in the daily grind. Thinking of both you and Lewis. Hoping you will have good news to write about soon. ❤️

“We ourselves shall be loved for awhile and forgotten.” In this ‘awhile’ phase for ourselves, I definitely love the ones who through their work and fortitude have been seeking and finding truth, letting others share in their journey, bringing to us as Keats might say, “beauty”, and inspiring us with their genuine thoughts and encouragement along the way. Thank you.

P.S. From what I’ve read and seen, think any animal in the care of a Farber sister (e.g. cats, bunnies) got a sweet deal in the draw for a good life. Hope Lewis gets better.

“Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.'

'Does it hurt?' asked the Rabbit.

'Sometimes,' said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. 'When you are Real you don't mind being hurt.'

'Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,' he asked, 'or bit by bit?'

'It doesn't happen all at once,' said the Skin Horse. 'You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.” The Velveteen Rabbit

My daughter just called to ask that I write to you. We both follow you but I hadn't read your recent post. I'm a homeopath and if I could be so bold as to suggest that you find a good veterinary homeopath locally or write to Will Falconer on line https://vitalanimal.com who is a brilliant one and has practiced homeopathy for about 40 years, and explain what is going on for Lewis, I'm sure he can help. You might be able to save yourself more heartbreak and a surgery. I treat all my animals homeopathically and my children's dear animals and friends too and magic happens when you get the remedy right. It's the same with Lyme disease. I live in upstate NY which is Lyme infested and it's so difficult to avoid Lyme. I'm happy to speak to you directly if you want and otherwise, I wish you the very best. My animals are my dearest loves and I thinking about them hurting or ill is such a difficult thing. If you haven't used homeopathy before, now is a very good time. Sometimes the best thing is to remove the tumor and treat homeopathically instead of with drugs but that's something that needs to be figured out. I hold you in my healing thoughts. Warm wishes, Jill Kellner Ithaca, NY

I’m sending you and Lewis all my love.

I think you’re right they take our ills. I lost my first dog to lung cancer and it broke me, literally. I was a three pack a day smoker and my honey bunny ate that disease for me. I would rather it had been me.

Btw look into turpentine. Google, Dr. Jenifer Daniels turpentine if you haven’t heard of it. Also, Chlorine Dioxide as well. Chorine dioxide is potent.

We, your readers are blessed because of you. You tell us the truth no matter how difficult and we appreciate it. We are learning from you to face our own truths and to be open about it.

I’m sending all my love. You and Lewis are in my thoughts and prayers.

I feel for what you are going through. I have dealt with toxic mold off & on for 20 years. similar to Lyme. Ozone therapy treats both and cancer and covid. I got my own equipment to do at home as often as I like. Also molecular hydrogen water. Check out Simply O3. Zen Honeycutt recommended ION Gut Health from Zach Bush when I met her when she was in DC for the rally in January. And you can check out https://beatcancer.org for the best info esp on nutrition, detox & biological repair. I used to work with them when I had a practice in psychoneuroimmunology and an interest in exceptional healing. I wish you and Lewis the best.
